Excellent location, clean and well proportioned rooms all at a good price. A little tatty in corridors and on stairs. Shame no lift. All in all a good place to stay in Cheltenham and we will use The George again.

The breakfast menu was excellent, fresh and the coffee was very good. Parking very easy, had a space directly outside. Liked the books, magazines and Christmas decorations.

Staff were very courteous- however, we came back from a day out, and our room hadn’t been cleaned! As a gesture of goodwill, the receptionist complimented our breakfast during our stay. Overall , this was our second visit to the George, and we still feel that it is one of our favourite hotels in Cheltenham!

Our second time in this hotel, this time on the top floor. Not suitable for disabled due to number of stairs and no lift but not an issue for us. Lush shower, way comfy bed, quiet on a friday night and ideally situated. Perfect for our requirements

Nice hotel, staff were friendly and room was nice. However, the room was small and didn’t really have anywhere to put anything. It was also half way up the stairs and so very loud everytime anyone came up or down in the night. Aircon also very loud.

Very helpful staff. Rooms in excellent condition and very clean. Doesn’t have a bar, but plenty of pubs a short walk away. Plenty of parking in public open air car park opposite. Free parking between 18:00 and 08:00. Full English breakfast was one of the best!
