"The first room we were assigned was over the disco, so the noise and bass vibration was a bit much. After that first night we asked to be moved and the new room was located away from the disco, which was great. The room was fine and the staff were nice. I don't think I have stayed in this hotel chain before so was probably was expecting a bit more than what was delivered."

"room was clean. We especially appreciate the generous size bathroom and the coffee maker and water kettle in the room. We asked for an internal room to avoid the construction noise. Despite our window staring right at the internal covered courtyard, our room was quiet and we slept really well. Staff was courteous and helpful. The best part is the location, being right across the street from Atocha station near Parque del Retiro and Paseo del Prado. We could get to the station/bus terminal using the underground walkway thru the metro entrance within 5 mins. We tried the breakfast buffet one day and felt that it was fine, though I was not sure about the praises in other reviews. The coffee is from nescafe machines, while you have to wait in line to order your eggs. I do think that the bread is really good. The breakfast room is stylish and wrap-around balcony let you have a great view of area. Overall we have a perfect stay and would highly recommend it."

"Es un hotel pequeño y muy acogedor. Las habitaciones son más amplias de lo que uno supone. El aire acondicionado, maravilloso, de los que no abundan en los hoteles de España. Por hacer el check on line “premian“ con sodas, té y café ilimitados. Y la ducha, increíble: si indicas caliente, sale agua caliente en el acto, y lo mismo el agua fría. Y con un chorro contundente. Tiene al lado la estación del metro De las Artes y cruzando la avenida, la estación de Atocha. A unos pasos del famoso café El Brillante. Recomendadísimo."

"the location and the space itself were incredible. but when we arrived late at night, and the automated 24/7 check-in kiosk was out of printable cards, the check in process with my three children became extremely stressful. a staff person did arrive and after close to thirty minutes was able to let us into the apartment. no other staff followed up with us. ever. never saw or heard from another eric vökel professional at all. which was disappointing given the stressful circumstances of our first night."
