"The location of the hotel was great, a good balance between getting downtown and getting out to the natural sites. About a 10-15 min drive to downtown and 5 minutes to get onto the highway out of town. Breakfast was included which is awesome considering the cost of everything in Iceland, it had more then enough options to keep everyone happy including my picky kids. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You are super close to anything you might need. I would recommend this to anyone. My one regret is not trying their robot coffee machine in the lobby.....perhaps next time."
"We stayed at Fosshotel Reyjkavik. The location was perfect for us since bus stop # 12 where we met our tour was right in front of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and the room was perfect, very nice and clean. We stayed 2 nights and then took a cab to the cruise port which wasn't very far away. It was only a short walk to the historic church, shops, and restaurants. The walk way along the waterfront was also nearby."
"Very positive experience for a non-typical hotel stay. Staff on site were amazing. Room was as advertised - small, unusual, comfy. I would recommend for anyone wanting a bit more space to book a TV suite - they look/feel considerably larger for only small amount of extra $$ (even if you don't want the TV).
Communal areas were excellent. Meeting/socializing with other travellers was facilitated thru the communal spaces (hot tub, main room at entrance) and was one of the highlights of our trip.
Never an issue accessing shower / toilet / etc - always available when wanted.
Overall we would absolutely stay again - wish there were CityHub hotels in more cities."
"The rooms are really nice. Didn't care for the open shower in the bathroom. No curtains, no tub, just a shower head. Water would get all over the entire floor, not the best design. The breakfast buffet was ok, cold food and overpriced but Iceland is VERY expensive (but very pretty)."
"Greatvplace to stay. The room on the 5th floor have a great view, and had all in-room amenities one would expect. The front desk staff in particular was super friendly and helpful. Due to big tour groups breakfast was a little crowded, but the staft still managed to refill everything expediently. One observation to note is that the hotel, although sounding icelandic, is internationally staffed. So stick to the front desk for questions.."
"The wooden furniture was beautiful and interesting. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The staff were extra helpful. There is construction going on so parking was a little difficult but not terrible."
"I never interacted with staff, but they were very helpful via messages on Expedia. Beautiful location and fun decoration. Beds are comfy and very clean. Little things were minor issues. The water temp in the shower was hot then cold, the hot tub was very very hot (but beautiful spot!). We were in the room under the hot tub and you can hear people up there until midnight (though that likely isn't an issue if you aren't in those 2 rooms)."
