"I could not have asked for a better place to stay than the Aurora Igloo South to top off our Iceland experience! We spent the evening staring up at the stars being wowed by the dancing Northern Lights appearing all around us. In the morning we watched the sun come up and admired the view with our coffee. I had requested the extra package for a bottle of champagne and chocolate for £35 - completely worth it!

✔️3 heaters and heated bed if required
✔️Storage cupboard for clothes/suitcase with cubbies underneath we put our shoes and backpacks in. Importantly - coat hooks!! (Really winds me up when anywear lacks a coat hook).
✔️Coffee machine with 4x pods, 4xcreamer sachets, tea bags, 2x chocolate sachets
✔️Mini fridge
✔️We found the bed and especially the pillows super comfortable - so cosy I struggled to get out in the morning
✔️Private bathroom a good little size with complimentary toiletries
Only a couple of recommendations/things to be aware of...
☝No kettle, just the hottish water from the coffee machine which wasn't sufficient for our big thermos so I had to stop later on at a petrol station to fill that up
☝No microwave/cooking facilities to heat food/soup etc. Again, I realised this on route and stopped at Selfoss Nesta to hear our food
☝No spoons or any cutlery - which I hadn't thought of at the services! Luckily I had a random disposable fork in my bag 😆

"We loved everything about this hotel, the area around it was very quiet, but areas that were walkable and a grocery store and gas station right in front of the property, which was convenient to grab on our way back out of town. The room was adorable, we loved all the thoughtful touches, including the bulletin board with all kinds of information about the area. The downstairs with the shop and food hall was a nice perk. Staff was very friendly, the breakfast, although not extensive and options was very good. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. "
