"This property was close enough to explore Hamburg and still give small town vibes. Room was well appointed and comfortable. "

"Uncomfortable beds, room was vaguely clean but still lots of cobwebs. Front desk tried to get me to pay for the room again even though it had been paid for through Expedia. This happened several times despite Expedia calling the front desk - eventually it was sorted, but it took a lot of my time chasing it. To be clear, the Expedia support was very good - it was the hotel that was the problem. Breakfast is poor (for the price). I would not stay here again."

"Absolutely wonderful weekend retreat! The setting in the english garden style surroundings by the river is so beautiful and the hotel itself is a wonderful blend of historic and modern. Café Johann delivers on all levels and the wellness area topped it all off. Our warmest recommendations!"
