This home has a nice floor plan. the kitchen was very large with a huge island to hold things we brought in. Extra nice to have new dish sponges awaiting us too! Mgmt very quickly responded with any questions or requests. Very unhappy with the filth of the carpet & area rugs throughout the home. Mgmt said they didn't have time to clean it between stays, IMO they should have delayed our arrival to take care of this old, very nasty and extremely spotted carpet throughout the 3rd floor, stairs and throw rugs [I changed the color of bath rugs just by washing them!]. Also noted dirty ceiling fan blades and greasy stovetop vent hood. Shame it's not kept up better/cleaner and paint refreshed because it's a nice townhome in general. Lots of open garage space was appreciated. Didn't like that the master bedroom windows face the noise from below the hill so very loud traffic several times a night/morning. We didn't find a walking trail down to town [as noted in literature] and even so, knew if found, we couldn't walk back up as it's "extremely" steep down the hill [and we are in good shape physically] but only a short car drive down with a nice, small boutique grocery store at the bottom for convenience. Smoke from California was an issue most days of our stay so not having an AC to close off the windows and have fresh air in the house, at least to sleep, was not favorable. Best ever is the black bears [and elk] who visited us, we think one bear slept a couple nights in the backyard which we think is pretty cool, but may scare some people. The restaurants are superb, as is all the wait staff we experienced in Steamboat - we really enjoyed all the food choices and friendliness of everyone.
