"An amazing stay in a great location. Debbie made us feel truly welcome and the welcome pack of tea, milk etc was a lovely touch. Wasn't sure about a wood fired hot tub before I tried it, but was amazed how hot it got in such a short time. Converted. Great local area for visiting, some shopping and food and drink. Cannot recommend highly enough."

The Talbot Hotel

"Check-in was smooth and easy, Jackie and her staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Our room was immaculately clean, fresh and the bed was very comfortable. We were warned on check-in that the Talbot doesn't do food on a Sunday evening, however we were able to eat at another venue nearby. We did have a couple of drinks from the bar at the Talbot, which were good value. The village of Berriew is picturesque and we enjoyed walks around the village and along the Montgomery Canal. The location is also very convenient for visits to Powis Castle and its gardens. Parking spaces in the car-park looked a bit tight, however there was plenty of space to park along the quiet road outside. Breakfast at the Talbot was delicious and well presented, if anything we'd ordered slightly more than we needed, but it was all good so we ate it all. We'll be back when we're next visiting the area!"

"The Lion Inn is an old building so one must make allowances for this which we did. The whole layout of the Inn is somewhat querky with dark coloured decor punctuated with glass wall displays which I assume were the work of Andrew Login, a local sculpture. The rooms were equally decorated in bright colours, each having a unique theme. The bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. All in all, we spent a very comfortable night with a good cooked breakfast in the morning."

"I ha a good experience throughout at the Nags Head Inn. I was made to feel welcome when I arrived, and was shown up to my room, and had the night-time access explained. My room was lovely - it was a single room and quite small, but very well arranged to make the best of the space. The bathroom was similarly well thought through, with a smaller than usual sink to make the best use of space. It was all nice and clean, and the water for the shower was warm, The bed felt comfortable and I slept well. There were tea and coffee making facilities which included decaff tea and coffee - very much appreciated. I had also booked a table for dinner, and very much enjoyed my meal - nice food and helpful staff."

"We had a lovely stay in The Ramparts. The house was amazing, with beautiful views, mearby shops and walks in a lovely little village. We had everything we needed, the information provided was very good, access into the property was clear after booking. We loved it and would book again."
