「We had reserved a room to be able to see the St Laurence shipping channel. The room given had a balcony, but we needed to hang out over the railing a bit to see the channel and Boldt Castle. They moved us to a fabulous room with a great view! The employees were very friendly and accommodating! Will tell friends!」
「Yes it’s an old property but the front desk was fantastic! Super nice people, incredibly attentive - this is what makes this place. Low cost, rooms were clean and you can’t beat the nice people who work here. Super easy check-in especially with our dog in-tow. Even the guests were nice. Easy to drive right up to the doors ,front or back, and unload. There is an excellent little diner for breakfast right up the block as well. I’d stay here again - if you’re looking for a totally renovated...
「I always enjoy staying at the Stonefence. They are upgrading the pool area so that wasn't available to swim in, but the beautiful river was! I hope that opening the restaurant will work out for them (they were doing a "soft opening" during the stay). I loved my lunch out on the patio, reading my book and seeing the river.」
「The overall stay was great! Hotel is great and is in a great area. Lots of restaurants and shopping around. Only complaint is it took like 30-40 minutes to get some hot water running in the shower! 」
