"We have stayed, dined and had cocktails many times at The Gibson. While some complain about narrow hallways, stairs etc., these are the qualities that make this hotel so unique. MUCH appreciation to owners for maintaining the historical aspects of this beauty while adding modern features we now expect . Stays at the Gibson are for those who enjoy a unique hotel experience and appreciate the history of this grand ole' dame. Food, cocktails, shopping and site seeing all accessible and in walking distance. Apalachicola is a great town with The Gibson the center of attention. :) The Sowells"

"The cottage is everything you could hope for and then some. It’s the perfect retreat for anyone looking to getaway. From the patios, to the grills, outdoor shower, all of it is secluded behind an array of vegetation and wildlife. We were so pleased to see they had left a Christmas tree out during our stay over the holiday break. It was very endearing and meant a lot to my fiancé and I. Stay if you can because they don’t make VRBOs like this anymore. "

"Amazing gulf-front location. The home has tons of character. Open floor plan, covered and uncovered patios, outdoor shower, hot tub, pool, and so much more. Our kids loved the game table and easy access to the beach. Plenty of beach toys and chairs were provided. I highly recommend this rental. "
