"It’s a nice room with decent security entering the property. It was also close to the train so it made traveling easy. The only thing I didn’t really like was the room I was given was a double room which I didn’t really need that had a door that looked like it was a sliding door at one point that they locked in place; I didn’t feel comfortable with it so I blocked it off with furniture. All in all I didn’t have a problem while I was there and though I would ask for another room I’d stay there again."

"Parking is easy and location is convenient for Palermo Airport. We were there in the winter but it looks like it would be lovely in warm weather. We enjoyed the dinner there and appreciated not having to drive off site. "

"We loved our stay at Ciro’s Sicilian villa.The villa was spotless and beautifully maintained. Fast, reliable internet made it easy to stay connected. The private pool is a highlight and thoughtfully designed for child safety - one reason we chose it for our young ones.We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the property is despite being near a road. Evenings on the terrace were peaceful. Balestrate beach is easily the best beach in the area and just 5 mins down the road.Ciro is a splendid host: helpful and accommodating. Arrival and departure were effortless, and he shared excellent local tips for nearby and day-trip adventures.Highly recommended for families and couples - a real hidden gem."

"Stayed here with my family. Overall, the experience was good. The host was friendly and shared lots of tips via WhatsApp, including dining and boat trips. The pool area was lovely, and the apartment was decent. It’s about a 15-minute walk to town (with one steep hill), but the town is charming with great food at reasonable prices. We appreciated having two parking spaces (one inside the gate and one outside).On the downside: the apartment needs refreshing as many things feel old and worn. Power sockets were very limited (only one in the kitchen and three in total across bedrooms). Air conditioning costs extra, which wasn’t clearly stated. The property is spread over two levels with a roof terrace, but note there are three apartments upstairs plus the owner’s family downstairs, so the pool is shared with more guests than expected. The pool closes strictly at 8 PM. One hot evening I went for a late swim and was told it wasn’t allowed; the next day, the host said she reported us to Vrbo and could evict us, which felt extreme.Other points: The host said we could keep rubbish in bins on the balcony during the stay, but on checkout morning, we were asked to take it all downstairs. The washing machine is shared and often used by the host between turnovers, so it was hard to access.If you’re okay with strict rules and an older apartment, it’s a decent stay. If you want more flexibility, it may not be for you."

"Excellent stay, had all what I needed"

"We had a lovely time in Balestrate. The villa and particularly the garden area was perfect and exactly what we needed for a relaxing break. I travelled with my partner and our 2 year old daughter. Ciro gave us great directions and met us at the property. He showed us around and made sure we knew how everything worked. Nothing was too much trouble. He really is a brilliant host. The villa was well equipped with everything you will need and the garden is perfect for a young family. Lots of toys for our daughter to play with and the pool was very safe with a gate on the stairs. We were able to walk from the villa into the town and to the great local beach. We also had a car to explore further away, which I would very much recommend. All in all we had an amazing time and would certainly recommend the villa and Ciro to anyone looking for a great family holiday."

"My husband and I had the privilege of staying here for the entire month of June and it was amazing. It is very accessible to the Palermo airport. The home is exactly as described. The beds are very comfortable and the view is fantastic. It is well equipped for cooking and laundry. We took many day trips and were always so happy to come back to our little house on the hill. There is always a cool breeze from the sea and the terraces are the perfect place to enjoy those breezes. Ciro is an amazing property manager with great communication and attention to detail. His English was very good! Andrea, the owner, is so very kind and came by every morning to water his garden and his many olive trees. He was very quiet if we were sleeping and always happy to talk to us if we were available even though our Italian was not good. I would highly recommend this home away from home. I would also strongly suggest having a car to reach this house up the steep driveway and surrounding towns for day trips. This is a great home base. I can't say enough good things about this place.
