「Lovely hotel. This was our 2nd stay here. Nice quiet area . Staff are so helpful. Food is excellent. Will definitely stay here again」

「Everything was spotlessly clean. The building was a bit run down,with threadbare stair carpets, wooden windows beginning to rot and leaky gutter outside my room. My full English breakfast was perfectly cooked and excellent value. I wasn't charged for extra eggs and tea and toast to finish with. The parking was good and the location beautiful next to the model village of Sunlight.」

「OK for an overnight stay. Our room had a view of a shipping container in the yard - not the hanging gardens of Babylon or a herd of wildebeast that we'd hoped for! (The reception staff member was too young to remember Fawlty Towers, so the comment went over his head....). Had to ask at the bar for glass tumblers for water needs in the night and to hold toothbrushes. Some noise from Friday night entertainment but stopped at 11pm so not an issue. 」

「It was very convenient for Haydock Park races, parking available and a 10 to 15 minute leisurely walk. Staff were friendly and welcoming and managed to have a room ready beforecwe set off for the races.」

「Spoilt by young children, around 9/10 years old, not being supervised, running up & down the corridor, kicking doors & generally shouting and swearing until after 11pm. Otherwise good - when we spoke to Amy about it in the morning she was very apologetic and understanding and said it was not a normal thing - apparently some of the adults were in the bar until 11.45pm. After this explanation we will seriously consider staying again when the need arises. 」
