"We liked the convenience of the location. The motel was renovated very nicely! The bed was comfortable and the hammock was a unique touch! The only thing i think could have been done a little better is the bathroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay!"

There's not much to talk about in South Fork. There is some lodging but I would say few restaurant/dining choices. The Spruce Lodge worked perfect for me as all I really needed was a stay over for the next day skiing.

Bring a spare tire, or tire repair kit, if you plan on traveling the Jeep trails or drive to trailheads. The rocks are very sharp in this area, and we did get a flat. We got the flat repaired for only $10 in Alamosa’s Wal Mart Auto Center.

The description on Expedia of the Lodge was not like it actually was. We had all the bathroom toiletries but soap. What’s up with that!!! Also, out entry number was incorrect and no one on the site. Poor management.
