Had stayed there 8 days. The room they give me initially was small, had marks in mirror, oldish looking. Requested them to change the room, next day moved to another room, city view, much spacious, clean and likeable. Since then, stay was excellent.

I had a very pleasant stay at Village Hotel Albert Court. The location is excellent, just a short walk to MRT stations and right next to the Little India district. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the hotel's heritage architecture added a unique charm. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A great value for a convenient and comfortable stay in Singapore. Would happily return.

The hotel itself was fine - the room was basic, but clean and the staff were very nice. However, we found it extremely difficult to sleep as a bar in the square was doing exceptionally loud karaoke on a Monday night until 1AM. The room was not remotely sound proofed, as proven by being able to hear the bar most of the night as well as our neighbours in their rooms and in the hall.

Maybe the last stay there

Second stay within a year because of the good location. But a soft renovation is absolutely necessary. My room was directly next to a Karaoke Bar with noise until 1am. No changing possible because the hotel was fully booked. Something else i cannot understand is the drastic price increase of around 80 % comparing to 13 month earlier. Singapore goes down because of excessive prices and exaggerated security measurements. Bye

What a lovely hotel! I liked everything about the place, from the colonial-style building and decor to the breakfast and very comfortable bed! The staff were very polite and helpful as well! The hotel is located near Little India, with a great choice of eateries and restaurants. Would highly recommend!

Location wise is very good, if u want to city walk in Singapore. But do not have any expectations for the room facilities, it is a quite old hotel and they don’t provide mineral water (tap water instead)

Average accomodation in need of an upgrade, small hiccup with bed configuration with our room but housekeeping dealt with it efficiently. Pillows are a problem ,very hard and only one size. Pleasant breakfast but catered more to the Asian guests. Helpful staff especially the Day Manager.

Location is good, across the road from Little India (fun!), and Bugis is near. Hotel is at the end of a courtyard and surprisingly quiet. Fun dining / bars very close. Breakfast was a zoo in a ridiculously crowded and tight dining room, such a bad start to the day that I didn’t eat there again even though it was included. Staff mostly very friendly and helpful, some seemed a bit stressed (especially at breakfast - not their fault). Room was comfortable but a bit tired and scruffy with some silly small things unfixed - it felt like the accountants were in charge. I may well stay again, but won’t include breakfast.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is located about 2 min walking distance from the train station. The second best thing is that the mattress was good and the room was clean. The pillows, however, had a terrible musty smell which made them unpleasant to sleep on. I had two different rooms during my stay and the pillows all smelled the same. Also, the first room I stayed in smelled like cigarettes and tobacco combined and the A/C was broken which made for an unpleasant and sweaty sleep. I say that I’m disappointed because for the price, I was expecting more, but I’ll console myself by saying that Singapore is very expensive.
