「This is a cabin resort depending on the room level. Rustic but you ARE in a national park so to be expected. If in the traditional or cabins, you walk up the hill to the dining room/bar.
There are 2 short (1.5mi) right at the lodge」

「The renovations were well done while preserving the historical significance of the building. The 4th floor cupola offered beautiful 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Breakfast was not included in our booking - but the small & quaint bistro onsite called Second Draft offered really yummy breakfast options. We'll be back again!」

「This is a beautiful property and we have stayed here once before.
Overall the staff was very nice and helpful. We were not happy with the check in procedure. The app says 3pm check in. Their actual check in is at 4 pm. As we waited patiently in the lobby for almost an hour we were a little surprised when a couple came in at 3:50 pm and were checked in. No acknowledgment that we were there first or any interaction until we made the effort to get checked in.
Even so , we highly recommend this...

「The prettiest Hampton Inn I've ever seen. This building has history to it. The pool was just opened so it needed cleaning, but the grounds were beautiful. You can sit outside on the veranda with your free breakfast in the morning. And my favorite, walk from the hotel into town for dinner. 」
