「Very rude staff and rooms that are not great for the price they charge. The parking situation is also pretty bad, ended up having to park quite far from the hotel entrance, and with lots of luggage, it was an extra hassle. I'd say spend your money elsewhere.」

「Everything was lovely but the food was amazing. I would stay again just for the restaurant.」

「Clean Room. Staff Good.Breakfast Good. Bar Good. Food Good.」

「We stayed here for a couple of nights, and cannot fault either the room (we had a dog friendly room) Bed was comfy, bathroom very modern and clean. I can certainly recommend the full English breakfast, possibly one of the best I've ever had, there are lighter options. We also had dinner here on both nights, again the food was great with good range of choices although in my opinion slightly pricey. Staff at breakfast and dinner were smart, attentive and polite. Apart from the intense heat, which...

「Lovely junior garden room with a very nice view! Very cosy and dog friendly! Super food served and the staff especially Jane & Lauren were so lovely and gave super service! Would highly recommend staying or dining here!」

「Staff were amazing 10/10 Food amazing Very accommodating Rooms says soundproof but wasn’t and corridors smell of the food, overall though we had a lovely time and used as a base and we enjoyed the food they served 10/10」

「Was nice. Breakfast was good」

「Its a village pub. Vegi food was disgraceful but fine if you want a supermarket quiche warmed up and you want to pay £16 for it with re-fried chips! Window was held open by a block of wood! Bed was very rock and roll!」

「What a lovely hotel, the room was lovely and breakfast very good. We ate in the restaurant, the food was very good, service a little slow」

「Great hotel. Lovely room, nice breakfast and evening meal. Good location, right next to the town」

「Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition. My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open). Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location.」

「We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to...

「Had a nice stay for our anniversary. Good suggestions for local walks. Wine and food was nice. It was a little disappointing that they did not do anything to mark our 10 year wedding anniversary and we had put a note on our booking. Drinks are quite expensive £6.50 for a pint/£10 for prosseco glass」

「Location」

「The accommodation is very good and the restaurant is of a very high standard. The carvery is worth a special mention. All the hotel staff delivered service that made us feel valued.」

「Beautiful setting, Staff friendly and very helpful. Room was charming. Plenty of parking. We had underfloor heating and found the room too hot through the night and bed a little to hard for me. If looking for hairdryer ours was positioned behind the curtain and unable to find it when I needed it.」

「The property was in a rural location and looked attractive from the outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful and breakfast was nice. The bedroom was quite dark and as its an old building wasnt particularly well sound proofed. The bathroom constantly had a terrible smell, like damp. This was very unpleasant.」
