「One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! Lovely family run accommodation in a quiet area. The family were so welcoming and it was such a pleasure getting to know them. The room was very spacious , clean , nicely decorated and very comfortable. We had dinner and had big portions of delicious , authentic , home cooked food. Lovely hotel, with very friendly staff.
Rooms great and well appointed.Great setting and relaxing after or before safari.
Only bit of advice is dont go too late for breakfast or buffet evening meal, as its all been hoovered up.
Would recommend and if we find ourself in same area again, will re book.

「We had a fantastic stay at Lizard Safari Lodge. The rooms are clean and well kept, with a nice big bed, mosquito net and fan. Our room had a balcony which was great to sit out on in the late afternoon. Dinner was delicious on both nights of our stay (as was breakfast) with a good selection of food and very generous portion sizes! Nandu could not have been kinder, taking us on a tour of the village and to a local swimming spot on the afternoon of our arrival, and providing snacks and ice creams....
「My family and I stayed for one night at the Hantara Hotel as we needed nearby accommodation for our National Park safari. The setting of the hotel is absolutely stunning - in amongst nature with the wildlife, plenty of areas to walk around the hotel or sit and relax in a hammock. 「Unfortunately I am not able to review Dil Lanka Safari Resort, because when we arrived, the manager was very surprised to see us and said that he had no booking from us (three people, two rooms). Ultimately it was resolved (with help from our Sri Lankan driver) and we were given our money back (booking was prepaid). The grounds looked nice, so you could take your chances, but make sure you do nót prepay your reservation.」

「The welcome at the Sihilro Regency is second to none. We felt almost like family. The home cooked food offered is really fantastic, exceeding the standard in most of the hotels we stayed in. Arriving over the new year weekend, we were slightly concerned that onward travel would be difficult but they helped us find a taxi at a very reasonable price. We also used their in house Safari and the driver / guide was brilliant. Highly recommended.」
