Top San Simeon Hotel Reviews

San Simeon Lodge
8/10 Good
"It was our first time staying here or being in the area. The place was cute and quiet, and it was perfect for us because it was only 5 minutes away from Heart's Castle. The rooms were okay, nothing special. They need a bit of an upgrade. Our bathroom towel rod was broken, and the sliding door came off the rail, but we were able to put it back. We didn’t have enough towels, and we asked for more, and they gave us pool towels, which is okay, I guess. My biggest thing was that it seems like people live there, and the room next to us, the person was a smoker, and it kept stinking our room up when they would smoke. It’s pet-friendly; there were a lot of dogs. On our first night, we purchased a 12-inch pizza for 40 bucks! Which seems super expensive for what we got, but I mean it is what it is. What I liked was that they had a mini mart, it was super close, you could buy food there, and there was a liquor store close by. Overall, it’s an okay place to stay!"

Sand Pebbles Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice place to stay. Beautiful area. Would definitely come back!"

Quality Inn near Hearst Castle
8/10 Good
"Staff at front desk was very helpful and kind, room and bedding was very clean. The only issue was the wall is too thin that I can hear clearly from the next door."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Paso Robles
10/10 Excellent
"This is my go to place to stay in Paso when traveling with a pet!"

Allegretto Vineyard Resort Paso Robles
8/10 Good
"Overall really love the property. Pool service was lacking. Not a lot of smiles being shown by staff. Just thought for $500-$600 a night it would’ve been next level"

Silver Surf Motel
8/10 Good
"The motel is 10 minutes from Hearst castle and Cambria. A minute away walking is a restaurant and convenience store. For a motel I am pleasantly surprised that it’s really clean and well kept. The showers have quartz and good working faucet. The window facing the courtyard has large shutters. The room only has heating - no a/c - coastal cooling usually means it’s not necessary to have a/c. Each room has a gas heater so it will be warmer than outside air. Bedding is clean. Two stories. From the rooms you can see some of the Pacific Ocean from 2nd floor."

Cavalier Oceanfront Resort
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the food at the Cavalier Restaurant did not meet our expectations and, in our opinion, was not worth the price."

Coast Riders Inn
8/10 Good
"Coastriders was a great place to spend the night when you are in the area. Jane (at the front desk) was absolutely lovely; friendly, helpful, informed. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable... you don't really need anything else. The breakfast service included coffee that was actually GOOD!. Offering rice krispies or corn flakes (gluten-free options) would be appreciated. If you're looking for an economical but comfortable and clean place to stay in an area that offers few options, by all means don't hesitate to book."

Cambria Pines Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"We had super comfortable beds in a roomy and beautiful room. We enjoyed two nights at this hotel which is perfectly located in walking distance to the big Nursery . You can also take stairs through the forest to reach downtown Cambria. There is also a pool, jacuzzi and a gorgeous garden with so much to see. Loved it!"
