While it was a cute courtyard, and it was nice to have a kitchen, everything else was a disappointment. Towels had to be requested, they were rough and thin. Room was dark and uncomfortable. Breakfast was miniscule and not available until later than we would have liked. Overall, not a great value. Atacama Desert, however, was amazing
We had a great time during our 12 nights stay at Hostal Iquisa. Two thumbs up!!! The owner was doing above and beyond for us when we needed his help. He was down-to-earth, kind, friendly, and very helpful. The hostel provides guests with a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The backpackers there were very friendly and down-to-earth as well. The room we had was very clean and spacious. The housekeepers there were super friendly and helpful. They kept our room tidy and clean frequently as we often left some dust on the floor after a dusty walk from downtown. You know the town is located in a desert. They usually will ask guests whether they want to clean the room or not. We were especially happy with the bathroom. It was well-designed and very spacious, much better than we expected. The kitchen was very convenient. It had all the basic stuff we needed: a fair size fridge, and a marvelous gas stove. We were more than happy with what was offered. In summary, we love Hostal Iquisa. We already miss our stay and San Pedro de Atacama. It's a magical place we would like to go back some day. Thank you, Roberto, for being such a wonderful host and offering us an wonderful stay. We had an unforgettable time in this truly amazing place. Lots of hugs from us.... D & A :)

Very basic property but provided everything we needed. Room equipment is outdated but does the job well. Room was clean, the bed was comfy and it was quiet. We enjoyed our stay here
La habitacion muy acogedora con baño privado. Amplia y comoda cama.
Everything was clean and there was a really cozy yard with hammocks. The host was also super nice and let us leave our bags during our 4 days uyuni trip and hang around there after checkout. He also helped us a lot when one of our cards was swallowed by the ATM machine. We are really happy with our stay!
Grande surpresa!
Excellent overall experience , staff was very helpful and created an atmosphere one of a kind . Would recommend this place for its price, cleanliness and helpful staff
Nice service, the host can speak English, very helpful . The bathroom is very clean and tidy, the showe is really hot~~~ don’t forget we are in desert! There is 15 minutes walk from center~
Good in location, just 10 mins walk to main street and 5 mins to many cheap restaurants and the final stop for the end of a tour. Away from noisy street but safe and enough light to get you home. Nice host. Clean and spacious room with good shower.

Unfriendly disorganized hostal owner
The owner was not expecting us and only came to meet us at the door 15 min. after we had run into one of her friends passing by. The owner was only two doors away at the time and didn’t smile at us. When I gave her the date of our Expedia booking, she looked through her phone and found it. She had neglected to write down our booking. That night, Friday April 20th, there was a party at a neighbours with amplified music. We couldn’t sleep and at 3 am woke the owner who offered us a stale air smelling room that might have been a little quieter. We refused and asked her to call the police which see said she did. The loud music and party noise finally stopped at 4 am.
The centre of San Pedro was a good fifteen min. walk away.
The breakfast room had dirty dishes and left over food from the night before and was disorganized.
