安さ以外お勧めできません。

ダブルベット１つ、二段ベット１つの定員４名の部屋に宿泊しました。ホテルではなくホステルなので、部屋にシャワーもトイレも洗面台もなく、タオルやシャンプー、ボディーソープもありません。シャワーとトイレは共同で、１階に１つ、３階に２つあります。部屋にはベットしかないので、ベットに寝転ぶことしかできません。周囲の治安もあまりよくないと思います。

2nd time here! you really cannot beat the price, i love this place. thin blankets but nice bathrooms, clean rooms and really flexible with check in and check out. friendly staff; gave me extra blanket and towels when i mentioned how cold i was lol. decent area and lots of parking garages nearby! i’d recommend.

Great place not gonna lie and I’ve learned my lesson on reading reviews but the that runa this place even tho he did exactly what the reviews say he did let me stay and was somewhat of understanding. Like I said not a bad place to stay. It was kept clean and the surrounding area even tho it has its troubles not a terrible area just make sure you are not alone and/or don’t bother anyone.

1 Star – Unprofessional Manager / Horrible Customer Service I stayed at European Hostel in San Francisco (SoMa area) and had a very disappointing experience because of the customer service and management. After working a 9-hour overnight shift, I received a phone call from the manager at around 10. Instead of speaking respectfully, he insisted yelling at me over the phone about their policies and claim I broke policy and threaten me Regardless of their rules, calling a guest at 9am and speaking to them aggressively is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. If there was an issue with my stay, it could have been handled calmly. I then arrived to check out after staying there already for 2 nights he proceeds to inform me that I broke the policy rules overstaying my visit. To which I asked him why not address me about when I checked in two days previously. He proceeded to yell at me not have a respectful conversation man to man. But instead act like a child and yell and cut me off while I was talking thinking I was trying to argue with him. I Then added he had proof so when I asked him for so called proof that I knew I was wrong and intentionally over stayed my visit he just kept yelling at me to leave instead of double down. The way the manager handled the situation was disrespectful and made me feel uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a peaceful stay or respectful staff. The customer service here was one of the worst I’ve experienced.

This youth hostel has a low rating but I've stayed more than 7 nights without any issues. Its centrally located and I always have a clean bed to sleep in. The manager is super nice and knows the area well. Always have some cash as he does charge a refundable cash deposit.

Really bad experience. First, the check-in time was 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, we already confirmed we will be there before 10:00 PM but the staff kept on reminding and disturbing us in uncomfortable tone. We ended up being there at 9:30 PM to check-in and the Indian guy didn’t let us get the room because we are not enough 21 while we just followed what Expedia said (minimum check-in age is 18 years old). The rooms were spotlessly clean, the atmosphere was welcoming and calm, and the location is super convenient for getting around the city. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the front desk staff—especially Nick. From the moment I arrived, Nick was professional, kind, and incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, answered every question with patience, and handled everything smoothly and efficiently. You can tell he genuinely cares about guests and takes pride in his work. It’s rare to find someone who combines warm hospitality, clear communication, and true professionalism the way Nick does. He really sets the standard and makes the hostel feel like a safe, friendly home rather than just a place to sleep. If you’re looking for a clean, well-run hostel with outstanding customer service, The European Hostel is the place to stay—and Nick at the front desk is a huge reason why. If you don't mind about the smell of dirty carpet and stuffy room that doesn't have air circulation. Then you can try this Hostel. It's cheap but not clean.

Our stay was nice, We have stayed here a few times. When we stay here we get a one bed private room with shared bathroom. We love that there is a full kitchen for us to use, we enjoy being able to make our own meals. The room is a little on the small side and is literally just a bed in a room with no other furnishings, no table or tv.... Just a bed and a window that is located inside the building and across from another rooms window. The bathroom is nice and typically clean with plenty of hot water. The gentleman in the office is very nice. BE SURE TO READ THE INFORMATION THEY SEND YOU! CHECK OUT IS 10 AM SHARP! Also they require a $20 cash deposit for the rooms key card, don't loose the card, and you get your deposit back when you check out.
