"We enjoyed our stay. The place was exceptionally clean, new, and very quiet. The kitchen is well equipped. We especially liked the fire pit and BBQ. At night the place is very dark, offering amazing stargazing right from the patio. Would definitely recommend!"

Large Century home located in Historical town of Wiarton on the Bruce Peninsula

Too expensive for what it is

"This was our 1-night stay for a weekend getaway with my spouse and parents. This place appeared as an entire home rental but it isn’t true. This is old victorian house in urgent need of renovations before renting to any guest. Apparently the current owner has been offering it as a bed and breakfast while he and his wife also live in the property. He left us part of the first floor separated from the main hallway with a glass door accesible also to the owner and guests. In fact in the morning the wife entered our supposed entire-place rental unannounced to make rice and wash dishes by hand. Only each of the two rooms have keys but not the access to rented area. we felt completed cheated after paying CAD$350 ( all fees incl.) for one night. This is instead a CAD$80 per room/night property all included with only 1 star. The place is old and filthy. It felt so dirty to the point that we wore shoes all the time. I also killed a small crock roach in the washroom. Urgent reno all over is required, in fact there were ladders outside which makes me think they are doing outside work. We will never be there again."

Great location, but bad service.

"The location of the property was great, it’s close to everything; sauble falls, beach, and conservation areas. Great space for doing activities outside - camp fire, volleyball, badminton. The host was also really flexible and accommodated 2 additional people with us. However, service was unfortunately terrible. We walked in with a laundry in the washing and had to put it in the dryer ourselves, which wasn’t bad at all. But we also noticed that the place didn’t look like it was thoroughly cleaned when we got there, mat in the back was still muddy. The wi-fi was not working, it did work for a bit but then stopped working after I dealt with Bell for an hour (the host told me that I have to call Bell as they need someone close to the modem to fix the issue). Instead of relaxing that night, I had to deal with Bell, and then Bell eventually told us they couldn’t fix it and needed to replace their modem. This is extremely disappointing as the property was listed as wifi included, this is false advertisement. The host/ property manager took hours to reply when we sent a message (this is the emergency number they provided), the number we provided was out of reach when called (called multiple times). "
