This is a great place to stay instead of a motel (more character !) or camping (more comfortable!). We were in the bungalow/studio - the one with a private en-suite bathroom which was super handy to have plus a kitchen of our own. The unit is nicely decorated. It is right off Highway 6 so do not expect some 'off the beaten path' spot. The place itself is nice. There is an old trailer out back that makes that part look a bit junky but that part is not on rent ! Kitchen has the basic items - dishes, mugs, forks, knives but no spoons, etc. We really liked the ambiance - much nicer than a motel room!
The following is not meant to be derogatory. My stay there was simply a balanced negative and positive experience.
Positive:
The room i stayed in was the most peaceful and relaxing ever, slept like never before, all the amenities present in room.
Negative:
Good luck finding the entrance/driveway off main road, no one present to assist. No parking lot.

Unfortunately, this stay was not worth the money. The tent was old and had a strong, unpleasant smell. Inside, there were spider webs, and the fabric had an old, musty smell. The tent did not seem well maintained or properly cleaned.
Also, the interior of the tent looked very different from the photos shown in the listing, which was disappointing. There was no guest book or any information provided inside the tent either.
Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price. **Definitely not worth the money.**
In regard to our recent stay, I first want to say it's a lovely idea that Kat and her family have come up with. Like the other reviewer who left a negative review this is a difficult review to do because she has posted in the bathroom that it's a small family run business and that negative reviews hurt and could we please not do that but, in all fairness, to other travelers who are looking for accommodation let me just point out some of the realities of staying here. We stayed in Brand tent and the tent itself interior was just as pictured we had a problem with the housekeeping and the maintenance of the site. The pictures on the website are not recent pictures and things have fallen into disrepair since then. If they just improved some of the housekeeping things it would be a lovely place . We did not like were the bathroom wasn't clean it had grass cuttings on it for as long as we were there there's an animal trap cage outside the bathroom which could have been put anyplace else, the morning we were there was one towel and one face cloth even though there were at least three units being used. The outdoor kitchen has a vending machine in it that had two items in it and the Keurig machine had hair and stuff in the bottom of it, so we chose not to use it. I did have to ask where the tea was, and I asked if there was a kettle ,no. had to ask for firewood, the BBQ lighters there was only two out of 7 that worked. The solar lights outside our tent didn't all work. Over priced

Perfect location for hiking the south end of the Bruce Trail. We enjoyed having the full kitchen and found it an all round comfy place to be. Some additional tea towels and maybe face cloths would be helpful. We would stay here again for sure
"A wonderful experience! Everything was absolutely perfect—the atmosphere, the staff, the food, and the creative energy. It truly is a writer's paradise. My only tiny critique is the bed. The headboard is mounted far back, leaving a gap between it and the mattress, so our pillows kept falling through. Other than that minor detail, it was flawless. I can’t wait to return!"
Really enjoyed staying at Dreamers Writing Farm. The area was well maintained and clean. It was quiet and exactly what I needed - I stayed in the Montgomery bunkie which was cute and the bed was comfortable. I definitely recommend if you like glamping and it’s perfect for solo and couples alike.
The little cabin was larger than I thought it would be and quiet comfortable. The property was nice, the outdoor kitchen is a nice touch, it's well stocked. The bathroom was good but occupied quiet frequently with so many guests sharing the same facility.
I absolutely loved my time and stay on this property. I stayed in the private cabin with it own bathroom and couldn’t have been happier with the accommodation. Having my own porch and fire pit were a plus also. And I must mention the adorable goats and pigs that were right across the lawn. I went up to Tobermory both days to kayak, easy travel about an hour up the road. I will 100% be returning.
Quiet place, very relaxing
Lovely and charming
A/C in the little cabin, works fine
Bed was very comfortable
Everything was clean and in order
Outdoor Shower is working well ok
Rustic place, very well maintened
Would go again, anytime
Thank you
I was only there for approximately 10 hours as I just needed a place to rest my head and get freshened up before another day of travel but this place was 10/10. I arrived late, however I had zero problem finding my cabin or the shared restroom. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe.
Sad I didn’t see any animals but I arrived late and left early in the morning - my fault! I’d definitely go back here, I’ve been recommending this place to a lot of people already.

We stayed in the Dreamers Studio, the kitchen could do with a good cleaning, and if you were planning on making a meal you would have to bring your own pots and pans as there was only one worn out frying pan and one pot.
On the good side the outdoor property was beautiful, and well maintained.
Great Glamping experience! We would return for a few more nights in the future! Understanding that the property offers an elevated camping experience is key. The washroom is shared, but very nice. The outdoor kitchen is a neat idea and we appreciated the self-serve tuck shop! Our little bunkie was comfortable and we appreciated having our own picnic table and BBQ. As would be expected, do recommend bringing bug spray if you plan to be outside in the evening. Self check in was smooth and offered the flexibility we needed to explore during the day without pressure to get to our destination.
Location was really good and clean. Living like there locations - you should be prepared for mosquitoes and stuff . But overall experience was too good . Will be back soon definitely.
Unfortunately, this property did not live up to expectations. The listing showed a tent suitable for a couple, but there was only one bed that was barely larger than a twin, making it far too small for two people. The actual size of the tent is also much smaller than the photos suggest.
The mosquito situation was absolutely severe—way beyond what you would ever expect for a typical camping setup. I have never seen this many mosquitoes in my life. The infestation was so aggressive that you literally couldn't even sit outside for 10 minutes, making the entire outdoor space completely unusable.
Additionally, basic amenities were neglected: the coffee maker was broken, and the charcoal BBQ was completely rusted. I cannot recommend this place in its current condition.
The charming farm is a beautiful retreat located approximately 10 minutes from Sauble Beach. Wiarton is another close-by town that is lovely to visit. The environment was peaceful and self-contained, the studio was nicely appointed, and it was handy to have a kitchen.
