「The hotel is very outdated,walls were dirty, no hand soap, bed cover was of and nasty looking with cigarette burn hopes. The bed was very uncomfortable and was just a mattress on a metal set of springs, it cracked and popped every time you move or roll over waking up the other person. 「My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. For us it was a last-minute getaway. The price was very reasonable. The property was well kept. The innkeepers were very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. The breakfasts were very good. The location is about ten minutes away from the beach at Nags Head. The steps are quite steep but as mentioned elsewhere quite typical of the time period the home was built in early 1900's. I'm 73 and had no problem with carrying suitcases up the stairs.
