"Regency Hotel is amazing. It is located in front of Barra da Tijuca beach at Posto 7. Close to some restaurants, supermarkets and bars. The staff is very friendly and Polite. The breakfast is amazing and the room is spacious. So, I really recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Barra da Tijuca beach. It totally matched my expectations!!!"

"Staff very attentive. Beach view is amazing if you can afford it, it’s definitely worth the upgrade. There are two WiFi networks, the hotel one doesn’t really work but the apartmento one does. Gym was always clean and empty as was the sauna. Pool was nice and warm with great views and an excellent bar. Breakfast was a standard continental breakfast for a good hotel, it was in the expensive side and there are great breakfast spots nearby. Other food was very poor. I strongly advise to eat out, the restaurants nearby are very good. Hotel dinner was way more expensive and low quality (frozen pizza for twice the cost outside for fresh). Street behind the hotel was a little dodgy at night but Ubers always arrived quickly. Only other real complaint is that the ac was very strong and cold and didn’t seem to be adjustable (we moved the thermostat but it stayed the same temp so just turned it off and opened the window)."

"The hotel was very nice, although tucked away from most shopping or dining places, the restaurants and bars were good. Our only negative was the breakfast was a little expensive and the spa service asked if we wanted firm pressure or light pressure and even though we asked for firm pressure and told the lady we wanted firm pressure it was more of a Rub down than a massage. Otherwise we enjoyed everything about our stay."

"My sister and I really had a wonderful experience. The staff were amazing! Some of the sites, attractions and the old town were 40-45 minutes drive and sometimes longer with traffic but Ubers were easy to find and very affordable. "
