"Such a quaint property in a historic home turned into a b & b. The living room and kitchen were such welcoming spaces with beautiful art pieces on the wall and bookcases. The room we stayed in was pretty small, luckily the warmness of the owner and the common spaces made us feel taken care of and at home. "
"We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is centrally located in the city center, walkable to main attractions, yet quiet and peaceful. The bed is comfortable, Wifi reliable, good water pressure, plenty of hot water, easy check-in, great communication with the host. I enthusiastically recommend this apartment when in Reykjavik."
" Location. It was centrally located with lots of shopping and good eateries. The Hotel itself was very comfortable, clean with friendly and helpful staff."

"The front desk staff was exceptional in helping us. My husbands bag did not arrive and they answered any questions we had. Louisa was especially good to us. The rooms are somewhat dated. But the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Easy walking to everything even though not right downtown. Transportation for tours was very easy. It’s nice to have the bar and lounge and they do have happy hour 3-6. Overall our stay was very good and I would stay here again. The bakery on site is wonderful. We did have the breakfast buffet one day and it was ok. Dinner and our bar food were good. "
"Second time staying here. Great funky fun vibe. As Reykjavick has expanded it's a great spot, just a few blocks from one of the main streets for restaurants, shops, and bars. Would stay there again."
"I’m a 36 year old American and have been to Reykjavik 6 times now. I have stayed at Exeter for the last 3 and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The staff is fantastic and very accommodating. The location is perfect and most rooms have a very nice view. Great bakery and restaurant in the lobby. "
"Everything was perfect!
The hotel is ideally located—close to the main shopping streets, very walkable, and yet pleasantly quiet. It’s probably the tallest building in Reykjavík aside from Hallgrímskirkja, and from our room, we had stunning views of the city’s main attractions, including Hallgrímskirkja and Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre.
During our stay, there was a cultural event in the city, and we were lucky enough to watch the fireworks right from our room. The breakfast was excellent every morning—fresh, varied, and delicious.
What made our stay even more special was how the hotel celebrated my daughter’s birthday. They surprised her with a sweet plate and a heartfelt card, which truly made her day. Thank you so much for the thoughtful gesture and for making our stay unforgettable!"
"Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It is probably the most convenient hotel to stay at for the Reykjavík Marathon as it located right by the finish area and a short walk to the starting area. If you’re considering running in 2026 make your reservation there early. Restaurants and shops are all just a short walk from the property. There’s no parking on the premises but the staff will help you figure out what app to use to easily use the public parking that is nearby. "
