"This was our third visit to Spa Cottages. It is a great base for exploring the Lake District. Parking can be a bit tight, but for the majority of the time we were able to park directly outside the property."

"Keswick Cottages has a range of high class properties in its portfolio. Being a smaller, local company they are able to provide excellent, personal service and support and have a detailed knowledge of the area. You cannot get this from larger agencies. Our stay at Lake View Cottage was very good. It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped and in an ideal yet quiet location for accessing all of the north Lake District and coast."

"Rosebank is a very clean, comfortable cottage. Lovely views across to the hills at the back & pheasants & lots of birds visit the garden.Very handy for the Coledale Inn, & the Royal Oak & 5 minutes in the car to Keswick if you want to try something different like Thai food at the the Star of Siam. We have stayed there frequently & will definitely go again. Many thanks."

"A fabulous apartment to stay in and beautiful place to return to after adventuring.
We enjoyed doing long hikes from the apartment without needing to move the car.
And we really enjoyed being able to walk out straight to the market.
The parking was easy to find, however, the directions for the apartment were hard. The app did not work for us off-line and it would have been better to have a pdf from an email with simpler directions, such as the door to the left of The Stripey Sheep Boutique,...

"Lovely accommodation. The decor in the room was really nice, and there is a lovely view over Lake Windermere. Staff were really warm, polite and helpful. Breakfast (although expensive) and dinner were great. Dining room decor was nice.
The only negatives were: black mould marks in the bathroom grouting and yellow stains at the front, bottom of the toilet basin; the room was cold and had to ask a couple of times for the heating to be put on; the hot tub was difficult to get in and especially out of, with nothing adequate to hold onto."
"A wonderful stay yet again at the salutation hotel. The location of the hotel makes it an ideal stay to visit Ambleside.
Perfect to park the car when you arrive and no need to use it again for your stay.
Having a spa within the hotel is a bonus and the standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel is exceptional.
We stayed in a room at the front of the hotel , which yes there is a little street noise , but nothing you wouldn’t expect staying in a town centre , and certainly didn’t keep you awake at night - in fact it was probably one of the highlights of our room - people watching below and the beautiful fells in the distance.
Breakfast is a real treat , excellent selection of hot and cold food and drinks , there is everything you could possibly want for breakfast.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - everyone greats you with a smile and are most helpful.
Having visited the Lake District from childhood staying at campsites, lodges, cottages and b&b’s , I can honestly say this is my favourite place to stay. Thank you to the team at The Salutation Hotel , hopefully we will return soon."
"I had a Comfort Room for my one night stay. The room is small-ish but perfectly adequate for one or two people for a few nights. There is some hanging space, and worktops/bedside tables, and good lighting. Heating was excellent and is controlled through your phone using a QR code link. The bathroom has bath and shower and a nicely illuminated mirror. Food, both dinner and breakfast were very good too. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good stay, and a hotel I would certainly use again."
"This is a great hotel for a visit to Keswick, perfectly situated with everything in easy walking distance.
Its set in lovely grounds and the staff were all very helpful and friendly
It has a very nice bar well staffed
We would definitely return here"
"This is our 2 nd stay at The Belsfield. The location is fantastic! We stayed in the tower room which had fantastic views over the lake. The room was comfortable and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Fantastic buffet breakfast. There was a charge for parking which was a little disappointing."
"Clean, spacious & very comfortable room. Breakfast was ok. Had to pay for an extra person (total 2 people in a king room). Had to pay for parking in their own lot, which seems a bit excessive. Our room had great views of the lake."
"The location of the hotel is excellent with stunning views. Hotel needs a little bit of work here and there. Cleanliness is acceptable. Staff friendly."
