"We loved staying here. The home was comfortable and quiet - yes there is highway noise but we were not bothered by it - we all slept better than we have in months! The beds were super comfortable and having the air conditioning to keep us cool at night was wonderful. The central air really is a game changer for night time and not that common in Hawaii, in my experience. The home was stocked with every pot, pan and utensil we could have needed, including a rice cooker that we used almost every day. Tupperware also! We fired up the grill one night and that was fabulous. The kitchen is kind of separate from where the TV is which was great for grownups cooking and chatting while the kids watched tv. I was trying to make a mental list of all the exceptional things about this place when I was there, because I was so appreciative of things like loads of bath towels (good, decent sized soft towels!) and great water pressure. The water got hot fast and worked well when both showers were in use. Unlike my own house! Haha. The patio was so wonderful - we sat out there for many meals. The plumeria tree gave us flowers every day and the kids loved watching the anole and the birds. Incredible view. We used the beach toys, cooler and beach towels daily. It was so great to have those things available to us! Overall the home has such a comfortable vibe, it's well decorated and there were many sweet touches all around the home, including in the yard. The hosts were awesome communicators."

"This was our third time staying at this home with another family, and it continues to be such an incredible experience every time. Richard & Lissette are wonderful hosts — extremely communicative, responsive, and clearly care so much about the guest experience. We had a small issue with the TVs during our stay, and they handled it immediately and professionally, which we really appreciated.The setup of the house works especially well for two families sharing. There are two great primary/master bedrooms with King beds, plus a room with two queens that became the kids’ room for us. The house has absolutely everything you need, especially the kitchen, which is so well stocked and functional for families.Staying here makes our Mauna Kea trips feel completely seamless and relaxing. We can’t wait to come back again!"

The location was perfect, with stunning views and easy access to everything we wanted to do on the Kohala Coast.The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the Big Island. The home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and very well stocked with everything we needed during our stay.One of the most thoughtful touches was the fresh homemade bread waiting for us when we arrived. It was absolutely delicious and made us feel instantly welcome. The coffee that was provided was also greatly appreciated and helped make our mornings on the lanai even more enjoyable.The hosts have clearly put a great deal of care into creating a warm and inviting experience for their guests. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Kohala."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay and truly felt at home from the moment we arrived. We were visiting for our son’s graduation from HPA and the property truly felt like our home away from home. Everything was thoughtfully designed for people who genuinely enjoy spending time together.The beds, sheets, and incredibly soft towels made every night feel like a high-end resort experience. The open-concept living room with the disappearing wall created an amazing indoor-outdoor flow that we used constantly, and the kitchen and BBQ area were beautifully appointed and exceptionally functional.One of our favorite discoveries was the neighborhood infinity pool and gym, which also served as the site for our son’s graduation party. We loved exploring the restaurants throughout the resort. Manta’s seared ahi tuna was truly unforgettable. What stood out most, though, was the feeling that no matter what adventure we went on during the day, we always had an incredibly comfortable place to return to at night. That feeling became the foundation of the entire vacation.The small details elevated everything: bedside charging ports, excellent WiFi, Sonos sound system, powerful AC, outdoor showers, a huge refrigerator, beautiful stemware, cloth napkins, sharp kitchen knives — all of it added up to a home that felt cared for and exceptionally well-appointed . "Overall the place was excellent. Access to a pool and garage. Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards. Excellent. My only issue is all of the extra fees. You think when you first book it’s one price but ends up being much more expensive. The Mauna Kea beach was amazing. We didn’t need to pay for entrance when getting there before 8am."
