“My stay at Punta Cana Princess was overall okay, but there were several issues. The room was not as clean as expected—the bathroom, especially the toilet, was dirty, and the room itself felt very hot as the AC wasn’t working well. I was also given a loft room, which was quite dark. The food was decent, and the pool area was nice, but there were not enough chairs available, which made it hard to relax and find a spot. Overall, the stay was fine, but improvements in cleanliness, room comfort, and pool seating would make a big difference.”

We reserved a suite which was not available the first night we were there due to a pipe breaking leaving the resort without water. The staff was really good in trying to rectify all of the issues we experienced because there were more. We ended up with a nice room with an ocean view. Ocean views at this resort a very limited. The food is just bad, no other way to describe it. It seems the property is just old and tired. The grounds are very well kept though. Just too old and expensive for what you get.

Punta Cana Princess – Disappointing Stay, Not a 5-Star Experience** This is absolutely not a 5-star hotel, and the overall experience was very disappointing. The room conditions were unacceptable. The temperature stayed around 75°F and could not be lowered, making it uncomfortable to sleep. Basic amenities were lacking, only two towels were provided, and even after requesting more, they never arrived. There were also no washcloths at all. Several things in the room were broken or poorly maintained, including the refrigerator and the toilet seat. The bathroom itself was in poor condition, including mold in the bathroom which is not what you expect from a resort advertising luxury. The room key constantly deactivated, forcing repeated trips to the front desk which was extremely frustrating. Dining options were very limited. There were only three restaurants, and one was closed. The steakhouse was open but didn’t even have steak, which says a lot, their excuse was the truck is running late and this happened during the entire stay. The buffet was underwhelming, with bland food and very little variety. The pool was cold, making it unpleasant to use, and the **entertainment was mediocre at best. Staff service was inconsistent like some employees were very kind and helpful, while others were noticeably rude and unprofessional. Even getting to the resort was an issue the road leading in is in terrible condition, which sets the tone before you even arrive.

Air conditioning didn’t work, broken sink handle, mold, mildew smell. No washcloths. No beach/pool service. Ok for quick trip. The best thing was the fondue restaurant.

Very disappointing experience. We arrived and immediately found the room uncomfortable. We were being bitten during the night, which felt like fleas, and it became very itchy and unpleasant. On top of that, there were roaches in the bedroom, which made the stay even worse. The food included in the all-inclusive package was poor and far below expectations. We raised our concerns and asked for an upgrade, but there was little effort to properly address the situation. By the next day, we had decided we could not stay any longer. No refund was offered, and although I was forced to pay a 50% fee to leave early, I accepted it because I did not want to spend the rest of my vacation there. The front desk staff member listening to our complaints was not helpful and seemed more focused on keeping our money than resolving the issues. Overall, the property feels old, poorly maintained, and not worth the cost. This was a terrible experience, and I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere if you want to actually enjoy this beautiful island. There are far better options available.

Beach was fabulous, flat walk out with minimal seaweed. Not much to do onsite, minimal entertainment and few food options. If you are looking for something quaint and quiet, this is an ideal option.
