"The host was extremely responsive. We were even able to check in early, which was so nice after our long flight. The location was amazing and the condo was well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed walking the beach each night and seeing turtles resting on the beach. We will definitely be back."

"We loved this little cottage. It was clean and had all the ameneties that we needed. Good location for exploring the North Shore. Host was very concerned about the ongoing construction interferring with our trip, but the company doing the work always provided us with a spot. Communicaton was good. We saw turtles on the beach. "This place is very cute and clean. Conveniently located for anything you could want to do in the north shore area and only 50 minutes from Honolulu. Janet, the host is very responsive and communicates quickly. Great stay "

"I find the high ratings for Pats at Punalua misleading and questionable.This is the worst place we have ever stayed.Our 5th unit floor was roach infested. We killed 7 cockroaches during our stay, while several more got away. There is no lock on the balcony door, and the screen door has holes. Continuous road noise at night from the busy highway in front of the complex made it impossible to sleep in the bedroom. There was no dresser or bureau to store clothing. The only closet was locked with owner's stuff. For six nights, we lived out of our suitcases on the floor.We were given 3 dingy white bath towels, 2 face cloths and 2 hand towels to last us for 6 nights.The dinner dishes are melamine, not labeled dishwasher safe and unsafe to place in the microwave. There is no coffee table or ottoman available to comfortably put one's feet up while seated on the sofa and watching TV.The community barbecues outdoors are charcoal barbecues. Guests are required to purchase their own coals and clean out the ashes after use. Furthermore, we were asked to begin the laundry for the cleaning staff upon check out.I question the veracity of the 38 "exceptional" 4.5 reviews, and who may have posted the reviews."

"We enjoyed the approximity to the ocean and the beautiful view. The property was getting much needed repairs as we were leaving, and the room some improvement but was clean and well stocked with supplies and amenities. The only issue was the oven was out, but our rep Katie ordered us a pizza which we appreciated very much. Thanks for the stay"

"Tempy met me at the door even though I arrived late in the evening. I was delighted to see my new home for a few weeks as it was so clean and tidy. Fresh everything and spotless bathroom and kitchen. Very comfortable with views of our private beach right out our back entrance. I couldn’t have been more pleased and can’t wait until I return. Oh and Tempy left a welcoming gift of fresh fruit and assorted candies and drinks. "

"Beautiful setting in a clean condo with incredible beachfront access. Our family of 4 enjoyed snorkeling in the calm ocean water, watching movies and playing games in the evening, and listening to the waves at night. The owner was so kind and wonderful to work with. Thank you!"
