"We stayed at One Hotel in Hawaii for the first time and overall, our vacation was great and the hotel itself was excellent. However, we were a bit disappointed with the staff. My husband’s birthday was coming up and I mentioned it several times in advance, but they made a lot of mistakes. They brought the cake on the wrong day, and when the actual day arrived, I had to remind them. They also congratulated me instead of my husband. At checkout we were also charged $70 for items from the minibar that we never used, which was quite unpleasant to see from a hotel of this level. I contacted the hotel about these issues afterward but unfortunately did not receive a clear response. Please be attentive and double-check your final bill."

"Host was amazing and accommodating when we arrived a little later than expected. Very clean space and perfect for me and my fiancée to come and go while exploring the island. Everything was beautiful and awesome! Host was very attentive to questions we had prior to arrival. Had a chance to meet her in person and she is very nice and grateful to have us. Would definitely recommend this property and host. "

"We booked the ocean front Shearwater resort. I emailed and had a phone conversation to confirm we would not be moved to a non ocean front resort as I had seen others in reviews had been. When we arrived to check in at sister resort Ko’a Kea, then go to our oceanfront we were advised we had been moved. The facility and room were nice but not ocean front. We were refunded 1 night stay but then charged again so now having to deal with getting double charges reversed. Front desk and management were understandable of our frustration and kind, but when you are booking ocean front it should be ocean front. "

"More well stocked than a typical condo- all the additional kitchen items were fabulous! Scissors, chip clips, containers with lids- so helpful. And the closet for beach activities was so helpful, saved us having to head to a rental. After the long hike, being on the first floor was a welcome addition. And it was super close to the pool! Contact with the hoss was very easy and immediate. There was no a/c, so that might be an issue for some. Loved all the walking paths!"
