"Beautiful property, but unfortunately the experience is let down by very poor customer service and a number of unexpected additional costs that you wouldn’t expect at this star rating. Check-in is consistently delayed often by over an hour and the compensation offered (typically a single £20 drinks voucher) feels inadequate given the inconvenience. Overall, while the hotel itself is visually impressive, the service and overall value do not justify the price."

"Free car park Spacious room but bed had clearly not been moved as there was rubbish under it Stayed in 551 - no warning that despite double glazing you hear every word of announcements at line st station - try and stay at front of hotel. Check in staff were very helpful. The young male who checked us out needed a little bit more training. Good bar attached to hotel. Didn’t eat there but restaurant was quite busy. "

"The hotel is in a great location, about a 15-minute walk from the centre and close to bus stops. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The rooms are quite basic and the bathrooms are pretty small, but it didn’t bother me. We stayed over a weekend that seemed especially busy, as accommodation across town was quite expensive. This was one of the more affordable options, so while it felt a bit pricey for what we got, it was probably in line with everything else at the time."

"Room was clean with plenty of space, separate toilet and bathroom. Staff were friendly, swimming pool was clean, there is a Tesco next door, Liverpool one is a stones throw away and Albert’s dock is a 10 min easy walk if that!!"

"Stay was ok. Breakfast average. Room quite small and a bit claustrophobic, had window open constantly but felt due to the outside cladding, no air could get in. No major issues with stay. "

" Lovely spacious room. Good range of amenities. Tea, coffee in room and you just help yourself for refills. Good sized bathroom, and the shower was good. Staff friendly and helpful. Fresh breakfast with plenty of choice. Hotel is close to attractions and restaurants. Quiet area. Would recommend and would stay again. "
