An older Portland house with room to spread out and a porch to come back to.
Upstairs: two bedrooms, each with a queen bed.
Main floor: the third queen bedroom, the living room, a dining room with a table for six, and the kitchen, stocked with Portland-roasted coffee. A full bathroom and a half bath between them.
Basement: the washer and dryer, reached by a keypad door off the kitchen.
Central furnace and AC on one thermostat in the dining room. A crib is available. Front porch with chairs for coffee.
The house is yours. The lockbox is at the front door and the code comes by message before arrival. Bags can be left inside from noon. The Airstream in the backyard is a separate guest unit with its own path. Feel free to message if you are interested in renting the Airstream too.
Check-in is self-guided, so you can arrive on your own schedule. I'm a message away whenever you need anything during your stay.
Sunnyside sits between two of SE Portland's best streets. Belmont is a four-minute walk, with Never Coffee and a strip of bars and restaurants, and Tabor Bread, the wood-fired bakery guests rave about, is just up the street. Hawthorne, with its bookstores, vintage shops and the Bagdad Theater, is eleven minutes. Mt Tabor, the extinct volcano with the reservoirs and the city view, is a 20-minute walk or a quick drive, and Laurelhurst Park is about the same the other direction.
Parking is free on the street on the block. The strip beside the house looks like a driveway but isn't for parking.
The 15 bus on Belmont runs downtown in about 20 minutes. By car, downtown is 12 minutes and PDX airport about 20.
The Airstream behind the house is rented separately. It's an older home with the character of one. The second bath is a half bath. Towels are provided, washcloths aren't.
Parties and headcounts above the booking get reported, shut down, and the stay ends.
