Charming 2-bedroom steps from the Eastern Promenade

Portland's East End has the charm of a small town, amazing views of the ocean, delicious restaurants, and is just a short walk into town. Enjoy it all from this sun-filled, lovingly maintained duplex at the top of Munjoy Hill. Relax in the lush backyard, spend the day at East End Beach or walk into town for a night out. This is a great place to enjoy all that Portland and Maine has to offer in the summer.

This duplex was built in the 1850's as one of the first houses at the top of Munjoy Hill. Each side feels like its own single-family home with its own entrance, first floor living room/kitchen with deck off the back, and second floor bedrooms and bathroom. No noisy neighbors stomping around above you in a duplex. You'll still feel the history in the short basement (if you do laundry), but the rest of the house has been updated to modern standards.

All the comforts of home

The place was perfect! It was cozy and had everything we needed and the location was perfect! We took our dog for a walk in the morning and the afternoon at the park which was so close. Would definitely stay here again!

My Number One Go To!

This is always my first choice for accommodations when traveling to Portland. The host is truly a super host, easy to contact and very responsive. The location/neighborhood is ideal! The accommodations are terrific, and always clean.

Cozy little duplex, perfect location

The apt was cozy, easy to manage, and no more than needed . Accessible to surroundings and quiet. Local restaurants were a plus too...right in the neighborhoodded.

Great location! Perfect size for a family!

The location was absolutely perfect - close to the promenade and like a 5 minute drive to the heart of Portland. Nice neighborhood feel. Brought our dog - space was perfect for her - cute little yard in the back. Parking space is perfect as well. Rooms were cozy and clean. Beds super comfortable. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Feel like a local!

This was a great place in a nice neighborhood. The house had everything we could need to feel like home. It was great to have parking and a place dog could stay with us. Just a block away is a wonderful park with a beautiful view.

Great Location - Charming Home

Charming home in quiet neighborhood. For us the location was perfect - two blocks from the ocean on the Eastern Prom. Enjoyed outdoor activity (jogging/walking the surrounding trails) and the beautiful sunrises and autumn foliage while also within walking distance to the bustling Old Port restaurants, shopping and tours. Highly recommend.

Great location

We were so happy with our stay. Only the 3rd time we have traveled with our rescue dog. Having the backyard was great! So much fun walking down by the water. Within walking distance to get to all of our favorite places and found new spots. Easy check in and out process. Definitely would recommend.

Very Cute, Great Location

The house was very cute and had everything one needs. The lockbox is very low on the outside porch. It was difficult to see and open but with the help of the neighbor we were able to get it opened. Other than that everything was great. Great Location and very enjoyable area of Portland.

Weekend Getaway

I enjoyed our stay here on a mini-weekend getaway with a couple of my older sons. The house was super clean and easy to find. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors introduced themselves to us as we were arriving - offering to help us with anything we might need while we were there. There's private parking in the back, but we also didn't have much trouble finding on-street parking in the area either. The house had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay (not that we spent a whole lot of time there as we explored the City). Would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Portland! Five stars!

10/10 Stay!

My spouse and I stayed for 3 nights with our 2 dogs. There was excellent communication leading up to the stay and upon arrival the unit was spotless! Possibly the cleanest stay we’ve ever had. The appliances were new and very nice. The bed in the main bedroom was comfortable. We did visit during a very hot week in Maine and thankfully the air conditioner worked well in the bedroom. On hot days it does get a bit warm downstairs because there is no air conditioner, but not an issue for us because we didn’t spend much time in the house. As for the location, it is in an excellent location…a close walk to everything and a nice grassy area just down the road for the dogs. The street is very quiet and feels safe. There is a parking spot in the driveway but also plenty of parking on the road. Lastly - an added bonus that the neighbor is super friendly and Percy is the cutest and friendliest corgi we’ve ever met! 10/10 would recommend and stay here again!

This place is a truly great stay -- fully equipped kitchen, cozy living space, comfortable bedrooms, and off-street parking. The backyard is shared and fenced in, but if you are bringing your dogs, the house instructions state that they aren't allowed to use it, which was kind of a bummer for us and I wish that would have been noted in the listing description.
