ãAfter a disappointing all-inclusive experience in Puerto Plata, Hotel Cocuyo in Samaná was an absolute Godsend. This place is truly one of a kindâŠunderstated, serene, and deeply special.
Upon arrival, we parked and walked up to the hotel, where we stepped into a cozy lobby that felt more like a thoughtfully curated living room, books on the shelves, the soft glow of sunset in the background, the pool like glass, cocktail glasses clinking gently, and faint conversations in the air. ãThis ecolodge literally puts you in the center of nature in the rainforest. Plus, the staff is super friendly and knowledgable. The owners are two of the nicest people that you will ever meet. The onsite restaurant is a plus! If you want to eat like the locals, this is your place. This is not your usual hotel. It's located in the hills and it has a rugged charm. Nevertheless, we fully enjoyed the experience and recommend this ecolodge!ã
ãVilla Blanca is a true hidden gem tucked away in the mountains of Las Terrenas. The views are absolutely breathtakingâlike something straight out of a postcard. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the host, Anthony. He was incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentiveâone of the best weâve ever had.
The road leading up adds a sense of adventure, and once you arrive, youâll see itâs completely worth the journey.
We initially planned to stay for a short time but ended up extending...
