"This place is perfect for groups of all ages with lots to do, an abundance of beautiful views, gathering spaces and quiet places.The accessibility to the Bras D'Or Lake is wonderful even our 88 yr old father could drive down to the beach area and take in the beauty! The home has many thoughtful games, books and finishing touches to make the place ideal for a gathering. We loved the large table our big family could gather around. The teens loved the pool table and dart board and the seniors in our group enjoyed the accessibility of the main floor area (large rooms, walk in shower etc). The kitchen was very functional and well equipped. We really enjoyed these exceptional homes and would come back in a heart beat! "

"This was the first experience we ever had with a Vrbo or similar style of stay. We usually only stay in Hotels however if we are able to stay in places like this again then we will likely only stay here. This property was exactly as advertised and so clean! We had a blast and enjoyed the boats, water, hot tub and all the amenities. We will happily return to this property soon. PS - Make sure to get access to the sauna and community hot tub. The location is beautiful in the evening with the lights on and the little water running to the pools. Great location to vacation! "

"Wonderful cottage on Lake Bras D'Or. The pictures of the property are accurate. There is great privacy at the property and lots of room to spread out and enjoy yourself.The view is absolutely spectacular and we loved option of both a hot tub and a sauna. "

"The house is located in a quaint and picturesque community off the beaten path. There is a lovely ocean breeze that cools the house down in the evening (if you are concerned about no air conditioning). We did not struggle to sleep in the evenings. The host is amiable and visited us as we were checking out. I mentioned that there was no coffee (only tea) and that there was no laundry detergent (to go along with the washer and the coffee maker). I grew up in the area, so I was able to find these items, but he thanked me for updating him and assured me this is something he would address.This was minor because the rest of the amenities were excellent. The beach is great for an evening stroll and there is ample sea glass for the beach combers out there. Overall, we loved our stay at the Fisherman's rest house. "
