Room cleanliness good. Staff needs more connect to the guests. Amenities are just ok compared with other all inclusive resorts. Lack of vibe overall , music can be improved such as louder in pool area so that it bring out the mood of guests when they are enjoying their relaxing time irh drink. This is also the feedback from others that I met in the hotel. Overall, water park is great but again need more activities to connect the guests.

The cleanliness for being on the family side was impressive. So many kids and kid activities, my 7 yo had a great time. The spa was amazing. The restaurant food wasn’t great but the buffet was great!

There was a shortage of staff that was more evident during the lunch and dining hours as often only one waiter would be in charged off too many tables which resulted in long waiting times (10-15min) to just get drinks. I was constantly being asked about joining or hearing the hotel’s time share program, this at some point became a little annoying.

Main issue is that all pools were so cold (~76-78 degrees Fahrenheit) that my 4-year old daughter refused to go in any of them. We specifically booked a Family Concierge room because we understood the Family Concierge pool would be heated during the winter (our stay was from 12/27/2025 to 1/3/2026); however, this is absolutely not the case. We complained about it multiple times and nothing was done to resolve the issue. From speaking with other guests, it was clear that many of them were upset about the cold pools as well. While the beach is nice, food is decent (for all inclusive), and service is fine, the cold pools everywhere (including the pool connected to our Family Concierge swim out room, the family friendly pirate ship pool, the water park, the Family Concierge pool, etc.) ruined our vacation. There literally isn't a single warm pool on the property and there also isn't a single hot tub on the property where you can go to warm up after being in the cold pools. If you want a hot tub, you need to go back to your hotel room and fill up the bath. Extremely disappointing experience at Paradisus Playa Del Carmen and still in shock that we couldn't find a single warm pool at the resort. We will not be returning and would not recommend this hotel to anyone if you are visiting during the winter months and want to spend any time a pool.

We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen and had an excellent experience overall. The resort truly deserves five stars. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping was outstanding. Every day while we were out, the staff cleaned the room, refreshed the bed sheets, and made it feel like the first day again. The pool area was very clean, well organized, and never felt crowded. Poolside service was attentive, and the drinks were high quality. The pool buffet and lunch options were delicious, with great variety and fresh ingredients. Chefs and staff clearly cared about food quality and presentation. The main buffet was open from morning until late evening and offered a wide selection. In addition, there were several specialty restaurants with very good food, and reservations were generally manageable. The beach area was clean and relaxing, with towels, a beach bar, and activities like kayaking included. Entertainment and shows were enjoyable and added to the overall experience. A few small cons: shows were held in different locations each night, so following the schedule was sometimes confusing. Also, some restaurants closed briefly between meal times, and the main pool and pool bar closed around 6 PM, which felt early. Bars in family areas also closed around 10–10:30 PM. Overall, these were minor issues in an otherwise fantastic stay. We would happily return and highly recommend this resort. Booking through Expedia was smooth, and staff professionalism made the vacation stress free.

Everything was perfect. The only complaint is the pool water temperature was too cold. Also only one area had a railing into the large pool. It was difficult for me and anyone else that has a handicap. The staff were great and very accommodating.

The pool wasn’t heated, the food wasn’t good at all, the buffet was very small with very limited options with lots of pork and little options of meat and for most people who don’t eat pork the food was not eatable and the staff couldn’t explain which food doesn’t have pork and which has and that was very difficult to manage so we found ourselves skipping meals. Food rating very poor.

There is suppose to be a $200 room credit. That is false. They give you a coupon book if you ask about it. What good is a coupon book at check out. We had 7 rooms half of us didn’t get our bottle of wine. Some got other gifts some didn’t. We all made the same reservation. Staff was great except check in that does not tell you the details. Long check in time. The food was good not great but there were choices.

Water park was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food is not ideal comparing to other things. Buffet was very small and limited, especially given it is the only place we can go for both breakfast and lunch. The little snack bar with coffee maker in family concierge area was concierge only which it doesn’t make a lot of sense since it is in our building hall and we don’t have coffee maker in the room. I can get coffee from nespresso bar but I will have to walk for 10 mins. This is unexpected as it is just coffee nothing fancy

Overall, a very enjoyable stay as the resort is very family friendly. One of the best family resorts we’ve been to. My only feedback would be regarding food allergies at the buffet as nothing was labeled - a small enhancement could go a long way. We’ll be back!

We had such a wonderful stay! All the staff were super welcoming and helpful. The property was very well maintained. Our room was very spacious with plenty of storage space. The room was also cleaned each day thoroughly, and we never ran out of towels. The minibar was also kept filled. The air conditioning kept the room nice and cool. We had a room with a tub and a jacuzzi on the patio, but we did not end up using them as we could not get the water to warm up more than just a bit - this would've been fine during the hot summer, but was a bit too cold to enjoy at the start of December. We spent a lot of our time at the adult side pool, where the pool bar bartender, Rene, was fantastic! He had our drink order memorized right away, day after day. Juan Carlos was also so fantastic in ensuring we enjoyed our stay, celebrating our anniversary and both of our birthdays! He ensured we had reservations at the restaurants, and each dinner was just superb! We took advantage of the coffee bar every day, and enjoyed our cappuccinos at the buffet! If you regularly use the gym, just note that it is a little small and gets filled up during the early morning, but generally clears up late morning. The main walkways throughout the property had many photo ops! And were all just so lovely. The walkway to the beach is just as lovely. Definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a beautiful place to relax!
