They exceeded my expectations, the hotel itself is beautiful and it makes you feel super relaxed. The staff is super kind, the room was big and nicely decorated. I got a massage in my room with Lulú and it was amazing.

…missing a connection sucks a$$ and when you’re disgruntled and have no where to go - finding out this hotel was in this airport turned my frown upside down and I went asleep. They were able to accommodate a late check out which subsided the lack of flights out of here and having to sit for a day made it not dreadful. Basically if you get stuck in Guadalajara I would stay here.

We have stayed at the Portobello several times. The room we stayed in this time seemed newly redone, I loved the room, mirrors, bathroom and bed was good too. It can get loud due to the traffic, but that’s Guadalajara. Their breakfast is pretty good with several options. It is walking distance to downtown. All in all we totally recommend the Portobello.

Great location in Colonia Americana just one block from Avenida Chapultepec and its many restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc. Very efficient front deck staff and friendly bellmen and housekeeping staff. Good restaurant with breakfast buffet.

Excellent place and the facility is pretty new and clean

We enjoyed our stay and couldn't have picked a better spot! We walked everywhere and the area was safe. The only thing we didn't like was breakfast- there are better places around for breakfast if you are vegetarian or vegan.

It's a great property. It's a little bit off the beaten path. Ubers are pretty cheap from here. If you have done an all inclusive and are ready to step out a little bit into more of a real Mexico vibe without having to worry about safety concerns and the hustle of PV this is probably your place.

The hotel located in a perfect spot - close to the beach, malecon, many restaurants. Easy to get here from the airport by the local bus. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast - it was cooked for me from scratch every morning, when many other hotels give just a bag of cold breakfast items. What a truly remarkable place, such a gem of a hotel! This was a fantastic stay, albeit entirely too short. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the service from staff are all without equal. I think my favorite part was the view from the room. It felt like old world meeting new world right out your window and overlooking the local plaza AND the Cathedral de Tepic taking center stage.
