"The check in was very straightforward. The front desk gave us clear instructions about parking our car and the daily cost, not included in the daily rate. There is a restaurant on site which is very convenient; the breakfast had several options and was well prepared and presented; the restaurant’s personnel was courteous and very helpful. The fitness room was clean and organized. Our room was clean although the shower’s curtain had a musty smell causing the bathroom to have the same smell. We think that some furniture, particularly outside the restaurant need a facelift."

"The hotel itself is beautiful, and has so much history. We really enjoyed how grand it feels and how important it's been in Ottawa's history. We had one of the smaller rooms, which was perfectly fine if a little rough around the edges. The house-keeping service was excellent, as was the reception staff and concierge. They offered us an upgrade at a really reasonable price, although we didn't take it as we were only staying a few nights."
