We loved the house and all the amenities, but communication from property management was poor.
Something went wrong, and I never received the email regarding the alarm disarm code. We had no idea there was even an alarm system. So when we arrived at the house at 3:30 AM and opened the door, the alarm started blaring. We had no idea what to do and no one was answering the emergency number. So maybe a confirmation closer to the time of reservation from the owner/management that THAT email was received would be better. Finally, we received a call back with the alarm code and we were able to enter the house.
Keep in mind, we went to bed at 4AM. We were exhausted and wanted to sleep in the next morning. That next morning, starting around 9-10am, management was calling the house phone and my husbands phone over and over again. Waking some of my family members up several times. Very annoying.
A couple of days later, an internet repair man came to the house without notice. Apparently twice. We only knew of one time. Owners said management “tried to contact but got no response.” Not true. I never received a call/message to MY phone number (the number on the reservation) about anyone entering the house. If they tried to call the house phone- they never left a message. And why call the house phone?? We’re on vacation. We’re not at the house 24/7. We get up early and get back late. Call my cell phone number that I put on the reservation.
We’ve stayed at several vacation homes on the west, east, and gulf coast and never had issues like this.
I give it 3 stars just because we loved the house itself and the location- but we will probably choose a different home if/when we come back to the Orlando/Kissimmee area.
