I was expecting a nice beach, instead it was over crowded, loud, and dirty at the pier!. It was not anything amusing. It looked like a local carnival, the shops were not that great. Food was greasy and not great. The beach itself I liked but would not go there again.

The pier itself was a bit over-hyped. It was crowded but didn't hold my attention very long. The beach by the pier, however, was neat. It was jam-packed with folks and very reminiscent of how Coney Island is always portrayed in film (though i've not been to coney island myself)
