This property is an outstanding value. Located in the small town of Oberwesel, it is quite yet convenient. Within 10 to 15 minutes drive are towns of St Goar and Bacharach, on the Rhine River. The rooms are basic but very comfortable. Breakfast and dinners were outstanding. The staff is very welcoming hand helpful.

A really quiet setting with plenty of outside seating areas scattered around. The food was very good and the breakfast surpassed anything we've had in Germany before. The staff were all helpful, friendly, extremely hardworking and focussed - if there was a fault at all, it would be that at times there didn't seem enough of them. We have every intention of returning for a longer stay.

The place is beautiful and so homely. The breakfast is incredibly delicious. And the host and staff are amazing specially the lady (I think her name is Chris but not 100% sure) in charge of breakfast is so nice and motherly and she wants to make sure that you eat a good breakfast every morning.

Great place with great food

Great place to stay. The breakfast is fantastic, the rooms are big and the beds really comfortabel. We had diner the 2 days and it was delicous. We will come back. I have added this place to my favorites.

If you're looking for an authentic German Gasthaus with a homey feel to it, this is it. Everything from the way check in is done to the sweet ladies who make the breakfast with total love, this place is a gem. Only a 4-5 minute drive to the Rhine river for breathtaking views, free wine tasting onsite and amazing food. Don't pass this place up!

We had the best German breakfast at this place during our two-week long trip in Germany. The guesthouse is adapted from an old wine cellar place with interesting architecture. It's located in the beautiful Rhine valley. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Owner/manager is such a nice gentleman and he greeted me with warm handshake. We highly recommend this place!

Nice vineyard hotel near the river Rhine

Nice vineyard hotel with the vineyard theme carried through to the whole interior. The spacious rooms are classic styled and in a good state. Everything is very clean. A refrigerator and a fan would be a nice addition though, especially in a warm period. Restaurant with terrace, menu offers good traditional dishes. Breakfast is excellent with homemade products. Hotel is located near forest and farmlands and well suited for a walk where you can spot birds and deer.

Wij waren in alle opzichten erg tevreden over Gasthaus Stahl. De ontvangst was hartelijk, de inrichting van het hotel was hel bijzonder: het leek wel een interessant museum. Onze kamer was niet te groot, maar wel gezellig en compleet qua faciliteiten. Het ontbijt ten slotte was zo overvloedig als wij het zelden hebben meegemaakt. Top!
