"Unmatched hospitality!! It was more like a welcoming family. Michele, John and their farm team were all so friendly. Everything in the cottage was thought out and ready for us. The welcoming crew of horses, dogs, goats and donkey were so fun to watch and engage with. 10/10 We are excited to come back and bring our girls! Rest, relaxation and a little horse fun!! "

"We were a group of nine ladies for a fifth birthday. We had plenty of places for people to sleep. We enjoyed floating and hanging out at the pool. One night we had a great time around the outdoor fireplace. Plenty of seating. Having a second fridge/pantry area was very useful. One night we were fancy and hired the personal chef that they recommended and had a fabulous dinner in the dining room."

"What a FANTASTIC time we had at Derry's Tavern. We enjoyed reading about the history of the house and could feel its presence in each room while also enjoying the modern amenities of today. While our little one enjoyed the pool, it was her stroll through the trails in the woods that that she continued to talk about during our stay. The giant picture window was great vantage point for wildlife and wildflower watching with a morning cup of coffee. We also took full advantage of the central location of the house by visiting some great wineries just minutes way, watched some horse racing at nearby West Virginia and had some great ice cream in historic Hillsboro. We are already dreaming of our return trip during the fall!"

"What a fabulous house for our family reunion…the kids had a blast in the pool, hot tubs, and watching fireflies on the lawn. Lots of room and bathrooms for everyone, and Keri was so wonderful as a host. Lovely area to explore…we got to hike on the nearby Appalachian Trail and wished we had more time to check out some of the local vineyards…next time, for sure!"

"The property itself was beautiful farmland. The house was huge and the lower level sunroom was the perfect gathering space with large windows and enough reclining seating for all 5 of us! The only reasons we are rating good and not excellent is the temperature was set at 75 degrees and could not be changed. It was too warm for comfort, especially for sleeping. Also, if you enjoy making meals the amenities were sparse. Overall, it was perfectly located for our wine touring and large enough for 3 or 4 couples, and if you like being in the country, this property is perfect."

"Very cute, nice getaway from the world. No WiFi or service so plan on disconnecting (which is a good thing)! We made s’mores, played games, and had a nice family weekend. You might want to consider-the camper is not parked on level ground so it does lean noticeably to one side which makes it difficult to navigate at times (fridge door kept swinging open by itself for instance). And we never got the hot water to work (and we followed the directions). Cold showers were fine in the extreme heat but might not be ideal in colder weather. Be careful in the shower as the floor is slick (both kids wiped out in the shower). Regardless, I’d still recommend it. It’s upscale camping so it’s important to be flexible."
