We have stayed here before. Unsure why it would be called luxury. We do like coming. Breakfast is nice, not $60 though. The first course of breakfast is usually dry, left out too long and should not be included at all. Our tubs drain was unattached, and the sinks had no stoppers at all. A concern for my diamond ring. The property also canceled our dinner reservation3 days previous. Many light bulbs were out in our room. The vents and shower were in need of spring cleaning.

Most importantly, the cleanliness of the room and the staff were absolutely excellent. We stayed in the Hawthorn North Suite. Room: I would have enjoyed a firmer mattress. My wife had no complaints, but I had to place a pillow under my legs for back comfort. The soaking tub was quite nice; however, only one person could fit in the tub and there were no built-in water or air jets. Cottage: There was a beautiful, in-tune piano to which we had access. There was also a pool table in the basement that was not warped! Breakfast was quite tasty...would have loved more variety. Unfortunately, we did not take the opportunity to enjoy the on-site restaurant for dinner nor its on-site spa. We also did not visit any wineries. There were restaurants, small shopping areas, and the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park nearby.

I love this place. I’m so grateful. I travel alone and am over 60. The Point is perfect for me. The place is so low key, trustful, and welcoming. Breakfasts are beautifully prepared and delicious. I can only say thank you. I will come again.

We had an amazing long weekend at Hillbrook. It was like being transported to an English Countryside. The Winter Cottage where we stayed was so comfortable and charming. Their chefs are absolutely amazing, we are still talking about how good our breakfasts and the tasting dinner was.

This was an excellent stay despite of the fact I have a mobility problem and our room was 40+ steps above. Unique place and the people I met there were friendly and kind. If you're lucky enough to run into JeanMarie outside weeding, make sure you ask her questions about this area, she's local and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our 2nd luck was seeing Chef Kashiff. Never expected that level of frienliness - we were beyond charmed by his story. Don't forget to make the 3 course dinner reservation 24 hour in advance... Wow..

The door to the room was stuck and the bottom was rotting, the door looked like it was about to break. The covers had stains, we slept on top of the covers because we were worried about their cleanliness. The shower had pink bacteria on the door and corners. The window in the shower had big white spots on it like mold. There was dust and the a/c unit was disgusting, filled with dust and debris that made the room feel stuffy. The blinds had stains and was partially torn. The staff was nice and breakfast was good but the room was beyond disappointing and not well-kept. Very disappointed for my first time staying at a B&B.

It was a small cute place with not much happening during my stay. You could only eat the fixed $125 menu for dinner by reservation only which may cater to some. But they did include a nice homestyle break every morning which I loved. I would say they could do a better job at cleaning the windowsills because I saw lots of con webs and dead bugs in my room. Overall, I would come back! Cute cottage getaway.

Liked having manager there on regular basis filling us in on things, told us about new property purchases and coming upgrades.and handling details(we brought wine, assistes us keeping it chilled. We took a walk on the grounds. Cold but epic.
