「Since we had a tire problem on the road, we were unable to make it to Susanville. I was unable to reach either Expedia or the motel. Calling the motel put me into a loop with "Justin". I expect to get charged for the night but it is unacceptable that I couldn't let the motel know I would not be there. Expedia's web site required my password even though I had the itinerary #. 「When we arrived, we were assigned a cabin without a stove but the manager quickly rectified it. However, we were only supplied a small saucepan and no cooking utensils. We did have dishes, an oven mitt, one mixing bowl, silverware, and mugs and cups. The shower had 2 settings: ice cold or scalding hot. 「Staff were very helpful and accommodating our rushed timetable! They really helped make our travels easier and alleviated our stress, even putting a rush on our room to get us in early for check in. The room was clean, tidy, and had the perfect amenities that I needed. The breakfast was impressive! A large variety and served hot, including coffee machines that could brew a cup on demand. A/C was perfect for the hot afternoons.」

「Room was clean, but the noise from second floor feels like the people are literally in your room. The other concern, that your room number is pre-made before your arrival. From this point the host needs to do better planning how to accommodate. If there are people staying 2-3 nights and come earlier - make sense to put them on a second floor, so the one’s, who stay overnight and come at 2am will not bother with continuous nose while they unpacking stuff in the middle of the night.
