「We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. We'll be back! 」

「Stephen was a wonderful host showing us our room on arrival and explaining arrangements there. Room 3 was extremely well appointed with our own entrance and outdoor space. The small kitchen area included a microwave great for a cosy meal in. The continental breakfast was amazing and really set you up for the day. Set in quiet countryside outside Bideford with easy access to local attractions and exploring the countryside. A really relaxing break for us and would definitely recommend staying...

「Hotel was ok. Though tired. Cannot fault the staff though. We eat dinner at the hotel and meal was under whelming. The crab and spring onion croquettes should have been called potato and spring onion croquettes with a hint ( and I mean hint ) of crab meat added! Vegetables on main course were overcooked and completely dried out - most probably due I guess, to being kept warm under heat lamps. 」

「Hoops Inn is a lovely Grade II building with history. It has a lovely garden, although on a steep incline so may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulty. The staff are very welcoming & helpful. Lovely freshly cooked breakfasts with good quality produce.」

「I searched for a property with parking, but it's only street parking. The road to the property is very dangerous to get in/out of, and parking difficult (I not a nasty note from a neighbour because I parked in front of their garden path. Wouldn't stay here again because of road and parking - but if you're not driving, it's a lovely property. Public path right along property - hope you're not bashful when in the shower!」
