We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tradicampo Eco Country Houses, and it was the perfect final leg of our honeymoon. Both prior to our stay and from the moment we arrived, the host was exceptional—warm, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay feel special and memorable. The views were spectacular, the gardens and surrounding property were beautifully maintained, and the setting felt peaceful and thoughtfully designed. Travel to and from the property was easy, the location was ideal, and the home itself was very comfortable—everything we needed to relax and fully enjoy our time. Overall, the experience exceeded all expectations. Tradicampo is a special place, and we could not have asked for a better way to close out such an important trip. We loved our stay and will absolutely be back!

Lovely suite, view and gardens.Welcomed with some extra touches ( bread, homemade sweets, liqueur and some fridge items) when we arrived as well as a lot of information on things to do in the area. Very nice place.

Casa d’Arco of Tradicampo was the best home we have ever stayed at. The huge terrace patio with peaceful views of a nearby farm and rolling hills, the cozy fireplace, the beautifully appointed bedrooms taking one back many decades with their classic decor. The attention to detail to make you feel at home is superb - bath robes, slippers, extra blankets, fireplaces, fresh baked goods and home made jams, fully stocked kitchen with condiments and nice surprises in the fridge, a Christmas tree, gorgeous decor, board games, movies, personalized guide book and website, nature trail recommendations, and a detailed personal welcome to the property by Riu. Everything was spotlessly clean, there were towels in abundance with warming racks nearby. The gardens are exquisite, there are bikes available, croquet, a pool, washer and dryer, just endless. Our stay was perfect and we wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to come back in the future. We loved it that much.

Needs maintenance improvements

The apartment needs maintenance since many items didn’t work properly when we arrived. The cheap plastic coffee machine wasn’t filtering properly and overflowed twice. There was an ant infestation problem so we were barely able to cook and relax. They didn’t have a key to the safe so I was unable to use it. Also the potatoes and onion that were given to us to cook with were rotten. There is no AC in the apartment and a fan was only provided after I had to request one and wait a day. If you choose to wash your clothes be careful since the weather can change out of nowhere and there is no dryer provided so we had to move our clothes indoors to finish drying after they got wet again from the unexpected rain. Since the weather is unpredictable a dryer should be provided. The pool area and outdoors surrounding area is breathtaking but I’m not sure it is enough for me to want to stay in this particular apartment again.

Home away from home...and pampered

Unique beautiful and comfortable house, with a manicured garden, and great view to the ocean. And the very best: Ricardo, the host who is the most caring, kind and generous person that surprises you with all kind of amazingly nice details and help, maximizing the enjoyment of your stay and the visit to the island. Impeccable house very well decorated, maintained, comfortable and spacious. Plenty of natural light everywhere and beautiful views. Equipped with plenty more than you could ever expect, and great attention to detail. Comfortable bed, pillows, bedding and linens. The entertainment room with floor to ceiling glass front, is incredibly relaxing with open view to the ocean. The garden is fantastically kept with a broad variety of flowers and bushes and is amazingly peaceful and beautiful. One of those places you know you'll come back to.

I love this gorgeous property. It is located in a quite village on the coastline. It is about 5-minute walk to the nearest viewpoint. Standing on the property, you may overlook the cows, roads, cottages, ocean and sunset. The garden is cute and there are orange, lemon and jasmine trees. The host is great. Richardo gives us tips about hiking, sightseeing spot, restaurants and supermarket. Eggs, fruits, cookies, cheese, milk, yogurt, seasonings and bread are provided. I am a tea lover and found at least 5 different variety to choose from the kitchen cabinet. We have unlimited access to the washer and dryer. Our room is two-bed room and two bathroom. It is perfect for our family of four. We love the atmosphere of the hotel and the village in general, which is quite different from the hotel we lived in Ponta Delgada.

La mer, le calme, le confort, parfait !

Un endroit calme et paisible avec une jolie vue mer. Très beaux équipements, belle décoration, un très beau jardin avec le chant des oiseaux et des grenouilles ! Accueil au top. Belle piscine agréable et propre à partager à 4 maisons mais assez de transats pour tout le monde (et pas souvent croisé des hôtes d'ailleurs il y a tellement à faire comme visite !) Idéal pour visiter la région de Nordeste (mais attention ce n'est pas dans la ville de Nordeste mais à Algarvia juste à côté) un village très agréable.

L'appartement est très soigné; il comprend tous les éléments de conforts (peignoirs et pantoufles par exemple). Par contre, il manque un peu de lumière. L'accueil est exemplaire : le propriétaire nous a donné beaucoup de bons conseils sur notre séjour; de plus, le frigo est rempli de marchandises de bases très agréables lors d'une arrivée tardive.

Tanque house with swimpool access

Thank you for this wonderful place. The Sao Miguel Island is a little paradise. If we would have a change to return here, we would stay in Tradicambo Eco Country House. Ricardo you and your Tanque house is amazing. Thanks for descripting about this island and best places to eat and what to see. This place is worth of  5/5 points.

Komfortable Basis Station auf Sao Miguel

Sehr netter Empfang durch einen Mitarbeiter von Tradicampo. Joao hat uns die Casa gezeigt nach unseren Interessen gefragt. Daraufhin hat er sich 45 Minuten Zeit genommen uns die besten Spots, Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Trails etc. auf einer Sao Miguel Karte einzuzeichnen. Wir haben fast alle Tipps ausprobiert und alles hat den Empfehlungen entsprochen. Klasse Service! Die Insel ist wirklich toll und bietet dem mobilen Entdecker jede Menge Möglichkeiten, ist aber nichts für Strandlieger. Viele nette kleine Orte, nette Leute, viele sprechen englisch, tolle Natur.......wir kommen auf alle Fälle nochmal wieder, bevor es dort zu viele Touristen gibt.

Tolle Unterkunft mit allen Annehmlichkeiten

Wir waren eine Woche im Tradicampo. Der Empfang war grandios. Joao hat uns 1h in alle Geheimnisse der Insel einweiht und hatte sicher noch viel mehr erklären können. Der Kühlschrank war mit den Basics gefüllt, sogar 2 Zwischenreinigungen gab es. Für eine FeWo außergewöhnlich. Hier wird sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, dass Urlaubsfeeling aufkommt. Tolle Insel, toller Host!

Outstanding hospitality

This is a fully equipped weekend house, with pool, barbeque area, tv, heating wood, etc - whatever you can imagine. We are especially thrilled by the hospitality of the owner, who drove here to greet us in the middle of the night, then came again the next morning and gave a full itinerary recommendation of the island. Even if it wasn't part of the deal, he put fruits and breakfast ingredients in the fridge to make sure we don't start with an empty stomach :) Would definitely come again.

Very kind and helpful staff.

They spent lots of time explaining what was worth the visit on the island. The place is very nice and confortable, there are bikes and games for those who have time to spend in the surroundings, fruits, bread and cookies and Porto for the guests. Our stay was perfect !

Lovely Cottage in Algarvia Village

What a lovely home owned by Ricardo. A wonderful getaway for those wanting to avoid too many people and enjoy peace and quite. A fantastic porch to overlook the village and sunset. Great amenities including a full kitchen with dishwasher, washer and clothesline for laundry, sizable bed and, most importantly, valuable information from Ricardo who sat down with us and provided us many pieces of information from lookouts and venues to see, as well as restaurants to eat at and ones to avoid. We truly recommend Ricardo's homes to all and we intend on coming back to Sao Miguel. Obrigado, Ricardo!
