"This place was wonderful. Plenty of space. An easy/short walk to the beach. Pet friendly. The multiple levels of decks gave us plenty of places to relax and take in the scenery. Close to the town of Duck, short drive to Corolla. Great location. A quiet, calm, stay with a beach close by. It was wonderful. Of note for those only seeking the newest and fanciest places, the house was not updated in a while, which was fine with us as it was clean, and nice, exactly like the pictures. If you are looking for a super fancy place high end this is not it, but if you are looking for a wonderful, warm, family and pet friendly homie place to stay near the beach, it was perfect! We hope to be back. Clean. Near Beach. Comfy. Amazing!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was one of the best properties my family has stayed at in the past several years we've been visiting OBX. My grandson even said it was his favorite house so far. Waking up in the morning was a treat to relax on the watch tower and see views of the ocean and feeling the relaxing breeze. The house had many nice added touches like a hammock and hammock chairs to relax in, a sofa by the pool, and the decks. There were board games and the tvs came equipped. The kitchen was stocked with enough pots and pans for many great meals. The house was extremely csummer. We sent pictures to 2 of our family members who couldnt make it and they were so upset the missed the fun. Overall we were extremely happy and it is a very short walk to beach. We hope to book again for next sumner."

"The Good Day Sunshine house perfectly met our family's needs! It was a large space that accommodated many people while still giving everyone the privacy they needed. It wasn't the closest walk to the beach, but it was still an excellent location, just a short walk to the beach and nearby shops and restaurants. We also loved the credit perk for beach amenities that came with the rental!On that note, the reviews do speak some truth to a bit of extra TLC that could be put into the property. One of the bedrooms had a strange stain on the bathroom floor, the upstairs balcony door leaked a bit when it rained, and both the mini fridge and dishwasher leaked a bit as well. The beds were definitely not something to write home about, as the mattresses were very hard and the bedding was minimal. The kids' bunk beds also weren't ideal for sleeping, since they made noise with the slightest movement. Amenities were lacking too, there wasn't much provided in terms of soap, shampoo, and other basics. For the price, we were hoping the rental would meet a little more of today's expectations.Having said all of this, we still very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to low-maintenance families hoping for a great space close to everything. The company was always kind and courteous with us! We would definitely return if a bit more improvement and TLC were put into the property.Thank you for letting us stay!"

"Very clean, updated and well supplied kitchen, plenty of furniture, games, and nice A/C, great host, and easy to access everything. If you like a soft bed like me, the twin beds were on the hard side, but nothing a piece of memory foam can cure. Overall rating from me: 10 out of 10 - It's a GREAT PLACE TO STAY, WHILE VISITING THE OUTER BANKS!!!"

"House was in a great location, views of the sound was amazing, dock, and easy walk across the street (5 min walk) to the beach. Needed some pest control, as ants and spiders were everywhere outside and inside. Cleanliness could be better… laundry room / car port area was a mess lights didn’t work under the house, luckily we brought a camping lantern to get laundry out in the dark, old unused chairs and stuff laying around. Outside corner motion light could be adjusted to provide light to parking area, as it only came on when car entered driveway The screened in porch area is falling apart and grill was nasty (we had to clean it before we could use it)."
