"Loved the guest house. The staff were amazing, especially Moka. She was very helpful and kind and the first evening she made us takoyaki. The only downside is that it's a bit far from downtown. However, with the subway nearly everywhere it's really accessible including Yokohama, so it wasn't that bad. The area is nice and quiet and very safe. I will definitely come back."

"This is a cute 60-year old Japanese house tucked away in a funky part of Yokohama filled with small bars (including my favorite jazz bar). The home has been remodeled in a way that keeps the charm of the old house, but has the conveniences of a modern international hotel (easy shower, Toto, speedy wifi). They also are great hosts and have a nice small lobby where people can hang out. The rate is very reasonable and personable compared with a capsule hotel. "

"Spent a solo weekend in Tokyo and opted to try B&B Renga, which ended being a great decision. Facilities are spotless with simple yet chic decorative touches and offer lots of thoughtful amenities. There are bunk curtains for privacy, an efficient scheduled system for bathing during busy hours (just put your assigned magnet next to a desired 30 min time slot), three toilets on the floor for eight bunks, women only floor with secured entrance, hair dryer AND curling iron, bath toiletries, towel,...

"Pros: About 10 min walk from Mita station, super clean, wide and comfy 1 person bed, easy self check-in. Cons: There is no lockers! You will have to constantly bring your valuables with you. The shared area is noisy (fan noise?) and has a sterile atmosphere. Not the place to meet other travelers. "
