「We stayed in a beautiful hive which was nicely done and the hotel itself was beautiful. We were disappointed not to have a bath or to be able to use any the sauna facilities and that whole building seemed to be in the midst of renovation. We were also surprised that breakfast wasn’t included and that when we ordered English breakfasts we didn’t get any toast and when we asked for some were then charged £2.50 per slice. I feedback when we departed that I was not impressed but nothing was done...

「Abrupt and mildly condescending check in, poorly maintained facilities, outdated rooms, filthy looking carpets. For somewhere this pretentious, they could really do with the quality to match the price.」

「Booked here for mine and my partners 2nd anniversary! Room was bigger than I thought! (Good thing) Nice and clean! Air-conditioning which was a life saver with the weather at the moment! Ended up having a Sunday lunch at the pub next door to the rooms and it was the best Sunday lunch I've had out! Staff we're great and attentive! Would definitely return!」

「Rooms were clean. The mattress wasn't the best, it was very uncomfortable. Shower in the bathroom wasn't ideal. No hose shower and the water temperature wasn't stable. Staff when you saw them were helpful but the wait to check in wasn't ideal. The walls in the rooms are so thin I could hear other guest from the rooms around me. Breakfast wasn't hot.」

Initial reception - given questionnaire with another guests details, spoke of our ‘standard room’ which I pointed out was incorrect - booked a superior room. MUCH whispering with a colleague and tapping of computer keyboard then told to wait whilst they sorted out a glitch with the system and issues with the superior room availability. Resolved by offering us an upgrade to a Junior Suite…’top of the range’ room. Joke…the website shows a...
