Staff were all nice and well trained. I booked a stay for a solo business trip. I got a letter through my door advising I must leave by 10am and if I wanted to stay inside the hotel it would cost me an extra £70? ... just felt like I could not stay and do work on my laptop as I usually would - I would not stay again for a business trip as made things difficult for me.

Nice breakfast and decent bed and shower. I only stayed one night so did not use facilities. Staff friendly and good variety buffet breakfast place is a bit tired but good value for price I paid.

The spa was relaxing, rooms great but certain areas do need a little tlc they look very worn and tired, food was excellent, very healthy but tasty staff are excellent so helpfull , the treatment area is definitely worth going to, excellent treatments

Relaxing stay.

Room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The food was delicious, we had a 3 course dinner and breakfast. The leisure facilities were great and staff were polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel resort and definitely visit again.

Outdated!! For a highly regarded spa resort I couldn’t find a reason to go back, & I was thrilled I didn’t pay full price. When checking in the staff were lovely & helpful. After checking into the room it very quickly became clear the carpet hadn’t been hoovered. Housekeeping came and attended the room whilst out. Upon return it hadn’t been cleaned properly, spoke to reception again and they were going to speak to housekeeping. After returning from the spa (which is also pretty underwhelming) it hadn’t been sorted! Raised a complaint with the staff on duty and was moved to an upgraded room which was much more pleasant., however there were sequins on the floor highlighting their hoovers are really not that great. The foot pump on the bathroom bin was rusty and falling off, toilet seats cheap plastic and in the first room it was loose. In the corridors cobwebs behind the doors, painting chipped throughout the hotel space and pillows very worn and not plump or comfortable. Breakfast says included but this is continental only you have to pay extra for cooked, which isn’t mentioned anywhere. Based on this experience & the strange rules of “you cannot be in your room which you have paid for between the hours of 10-5pm” if you’re not using the spa, I doubt I’d be rushing back to an overpriced champneys again. Much better spa resorts at a more affordable cost.

A lovely overnight trip. My only slight gripe is that prices of food and drink are not clearly advertised. The bottles of wine we bought were quite a shock! Spa is lovely and very pleasant surroundings

Excellent service throughout my stay. Large super king bed and huge room despite booking the standard single room. Really nice food in the restaurant. All members of staff were exceptional.

Staff all very friendly and helpful. Some areas a little tired. Room signage could be better. My nephew, with whom I had spent the evening, got lost looking for my room when he brought me back at about 11 pm. Some lovely late cleaning staff helped us.

Space to truly wind down

The perfect place to switch off. No pressure to dress up for dinner, rest of the day just relaxing in my robe. Only thing that lets it down as day spa guest is the quality of food at lunch, it falls significantly short of both lunch and dinner offerings. Wonderful spacious spa facilities.

Check in was a little slow. Some staff not responsive to the queue of people waiting to check in, however very friendly when they came. Dinner was not included in my package so I opted for only 1 main course. I was surprised at the cost for 1 risotto and a glass of wine. Food was excellent though. Breakfast selected was superb and very tasty. Would definitely stay again, but may eat elsewhere based on cost alone.

Leisure and quietness. Good for rest. I don't like the cleanliness of the room is just reasonable standard. The facilities are relatively old. Too much rules during your stay for just simple B&B booking. The environment is good but the staff are just average standard. Luckily I found one lady called Oriel, she is exceptionally helpful and friendly with her professional care and services.
