「This hotel/guest house is mainly a wedding venue but can be booked for individual stays. I was on a business trip and just needed a bed before an early start. Breakfast is provided in a little hamper and had plenty of good quality fruit, bread, danish etc which suited me better than a cooked breakfast at eg 7am because I was up and out by 6am. There was no human to check in but codes were provided for the main door and a key box for the room. Everything was clean and tasteful and it worked...

「Our fourth stay at the Metropole in recent years.A privilege to stay in such a unique historic building,with yes a little patina around the edges.If you dont embrace the nostalgia then budget chain's are available.The staff here are so good,as is the breakfast and the pool and spa facility.A great location for roadtrips around mid Wales,and a huge car park.」

「Our room was clean but very basic and small. The bathroom has been recently updated and everything works great, including plenty of hot water. The parking is especially spacious for Wales! Restaurant food is typical pub food, tasty, generous portions and served piping hot. Friendly staff. Nothing fancy here, but good value for the money.」
